Cinelicious Pics is a distribution wing of the post-production company Cinelicious, launched by Paul Korver and Dennis Bartok, former American Cinematheque head programmer.
In a Deadline.com article about the launch, Indie/Art House Distrib Cinelicious Pics Launches With ‘Giuseppe Makes A Movie,’ ‘Metalhead,’ ‘Elektro Moskva’, Jen Yamato reported the company's plans to distribute "an eclectic mix of 12 films a year spanning new American and foreign independent features and documentaries."
In November 2014, the company announced it would release Eiichi Yamamoto's cult classic Kanashimi no Belladonna as its first major restoration and rerelease with all restoration work completed in-house, through Cinelicious.
