Mustapha Azahari Maarof (1 January 1935 – 15 December 2014) was a Malaysian actor. He appeared in Hang Tuah (1959), 1957: Hati Malaya (2007) and Chermin (2007), among many other films. Maarof won the Veterans' Award presented at the 10th Malaysian Film Festival. He served on the board of National Film Development Corporation Malaysia, from which he received the Industry Icon Award in 2010. Maarof co-founded the charity arm of Persatuan Seniman Malaysia, a Malaysian artists' collective. He was married twice, first to Suraya Harun from 1982–1965 and secondly to Rosnah Jasni, also known as Roseyatimah, from 1967 until her death on 14 December 1987.
Maarof died in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur from respiratory failure at the age of 79.

This movie is related to an incident that occurred in Johor. It occurred in 1776 when a man called Awang returned to Parit Raja after more than 3 years abroad to marry his fiancee Dayang. Upon his return, he found out that another man called Bachok had told Dayang of Awang's death and planning to marry her the next day. Awang turned up at the wedding ceremony and using a spear given by Raja Bugis, he speared Bachok in the stomach. Bachok, fatally injured grabbed the spear in his stomach and speared his best man. The man then speared the next man he saw and this was repeated until the 99th person was speared. It was Dayang's father who was protecting Dayang. He did not continue the repeated spearing and died. Awang ran away to Endau and Dayang did not marry another till she died.

Le film raconte l'histoire d'une fille nommée Nasrin victime d'un tragique accident de voiture, dont elle sort défigurée. Sa mère découvre un miroir antique, qui n'est pas un miroir ordinaire. L'esprit emprisonné à l'intérieur le rend capable de refléter ce que Nasrin veut voir. Nasrin devient hantée par le miroir et dans sa quête pour regagner sa beauté passée, elle se soumet à l'esprit du miroir en satisfaisant ses besoins de sang et de vengeance.
