Bhai Bhauja (Odia: ଭାଇ ଭାଉଜ), is a 1967 Indian Oriya film directed by Sarathi, based on a story of Rama Chandra Misra depicts the story of farmer & the cruel lanlord (sahukar).
Synopsis
Manu Pradhani is a farmer, lives with his wife Dukhi & brother Bhaiga. Manu & Bhaiga work hard to sustain their family. Manu pledged his land to the Landlord (Sahukar) for the sake of money.Every year they repay the loan in the from grain with a hope to release their Land from the Sahukar in few year. in the meanwhile Sahukar's son killed his father by the assistance of local goons and succeed to prove in the court that Manu killed his father. The court sentenced innocent Manu ten years imprisonment. Dukhi & his brother-in -law struggle hard to survive. Dukhi forget everything to stand his son Prakash. After ten years, while returning from jail, Manu believes a rumor that his wife & his brother Bhaiga has developed illicit relationship. In a frustration Manu remains in the city and works as a servant in a judge's house. In the meantime Praksh & Judge's daughter Sabitri are fall in love with each other. But Bhaiga doesn't approve the relationship. To settle the crises Manu returns to the village without his knowledge that Prakash is his son. When he met Dukhi & Bhaiga, all of his suspicion cleared and every body approved marriage of Prakash & Sabitri.Acteurs

Arundhati & Manoj are lovers and part of an Odishi dance troupe. Manoj desperately loves Arundhati. One day while the troup is performing in front of action packed audience, one Biswajeet claims Arundhati is to be his wife Madhumati. Actually Madhumati died in a train accident, but Biswajeet still believes that Madhumati is still alive. In suspicion, Manoj left Arundhati and disappear. Arundhati tries to convince Biswajeet that she is not Madhmati and she has deep love interest with Manoj. Later Biswajeet finds Madhumati & Arundhati are twin sisters and Madhumati actually dies in accident. Biswajeet left the troupe to search for Manoj. Biswajeet find Manoj in a small railway station and persuade Manoj to reunite with Arundhati.

Girish Choudhury is a pseudo social activist and politician. He has two sons, Subhendu and Sudhir. To get popularity in society he gets his daughter-in-law from a poor family for his son Subhendu. Kedar Babu is a freedom fighter since the days of Gandhiji's call for the Civil Disobedience Movement. Keadr Babu has lost his wife at an early stage of his marriage. Since then, he has brought up his only son Sangram with all paternal affection. In the town, Sangram stays in the house of a Zamindar Bahudur Surriyakant Singh. During his stay in the Zamindar's house, Sangram experiences the gradual moral setback of a feudal system and the irresponsible and unethical practices in the library. This puts him in a state of dilemma and delusion. Anuradha feels betrayed but as a devoted wife forgets everything and tries to adjust with the family. Gradually she takes care Debrabrat's family and also his son. Debabrata's sister Bhanu can't accept Anuradha and creates misunderstanding between wife and husband. At last biased Debabrata leaves the house with his son ignoring his wife Anuradha. But Anuradha doesn't lose hope. With her determination, sacrifice and devotion, the family unites at last.
