This is a story about an innocent girl Anjali(Rachana Banerjee) she stayed with her father Binoy Roychowdhury (Bodhisattya Majumder )and her stepmother Madhobi (Sanghomitra Banerjee). Anjali was a poor girl. On the other side a thief, Joy(Prosenjit Chatterjee) stole a gold statue of a god with his assistant Bhoja (Subhasish Mukhopadhyay) they take shelter at Anjali's house. Joy stayed three days at Anjali's house and her fell in love with Anjali. Joy come to know about Anjali's past life from her diary. On the other side Madhobi blamed Anjali as a thief, Madhobi threw out Anjali from home. Joy helped Anjali to became a singer. One day Madhobi realised her fault and came to meet Anjali. Joy convinced every one of Anjali's family to stay with her . Another guy Sandip(Abhishek Chatterjee) liked Anjali .Anjali's family fixed her marriage with Sandip. Madhobi blamed Joy(Prosenjit Chatterjee) as a thief and threw him out from her house .Anjali tried to find out Joy(Prosenjit Chatterjee) . At the moment of a function Anjali told the whole story of her life to the audience and proposed to Joy and accepted him.

Mrs. Binodini Roy, a renowned industrialist, wants to marry off her elder daughter Rupa to her business partner’s son. Rupa is against the marriage and hence she escapes from her house with the help of her father. On the way to one of her uncle’s house, a cabbie tries to rob her belongings. But she is saved by a handsome motor-mechanic named Somu. Somu takes her to her uncle’s house where he turns out to be one of his acquaintances. Gradually, Rupa and Somu come close to each other. One day they have a heated argument; but it’s precisely after this that they realize their love for each other. They make up and even get married secretly without informing Rupa’s mother. Soon, on her father’s request, Rupa returns home. Her mother refuses to acknowledge her marriage; instead she decides to marry her off to her former match. Arun Roy (Prosenjit Chatterjee), a police sub-inspector stopped the car of Indrajit a political leader and brother to the Superintendent of Police, Balaram Babu. Arun Roy was suspended from his job due to the incident. Indrajit, Balaram Babu, and their younger brother, Arjun, maintain informal control over the area. Arun Roy's father, Bhabani Roy, was a police constable who also was suspended from his job for exposing Balaram. Arun Roy fell in love with a college student named Trisha Wesmen, whose father was a journalist. To take revenge for his father's insult, Arun Roy made a plan with his friend Hitler to stage Balaram as madman. They were successful, and Balaram was suspended. A new Superintendent of Police, Sukhomoy, took charge and supported Arun Roy. Indrajit, Arjun, and Balaram tried several times to stop Arun Roy in preventing their different illegal business and failed due to support from the state ministry. Arun later arrested the three of them for different crimes.
