Synopsis
Jeune mariée, Bedelia Carrington (Margaret Lockwood) passe une belle lune de miel à Monte-Carlo avec son nouveau mari Charlie Carrington (Ian Hunter). Cependant, un jeune artiste cultivé, Ben Chaney (Barry K. Barnes), commence à sonder son passé avec une étrange curiosité pour elle. Chaney est, en réalité, un détective privé qui soupçonne Bedelia d’avoir, dans le passé, assassiné trois autres maris pour toucher l'argent de l'assurance.Acteurs

In the small Irish town of Ballyconnen, Emmy Baudine (Siobhan McKenna) is a beautiful but disturbed young woman who works for the local priest. Paul Gregory (Sylvester) is a blind but very successful pop music composer, married to the beautiful Anne (Shelley). Anne is having a secret affair with struggling artist Rickie Seldon (Alexander Davion), and persuades Paul to commission Rickie to paint her portrait as a pretext to enable them to spend time together.
