Manasi (Odia: ମାନସୀ) is a 1981 romantic comedy Oriya film directed by Malay Mitra.
Synopsis
Akash (Sriram Panda) is the son of industrialist Surendra Das and looks after his father's business. He and Prashant (Swarup Naik), who is an engineer by profession are close friends. One day Akash's family visit Seema's (Saudamini Misra) family on function hold by Seema's father. Seema mistaken Akash as a driver and Prashant as Akash. Seema's friend Surekha falls in love with Prashant alias Akash. Evantually Seema falls in love with Akash alias the driver. Situation becomes tense, when Akash's family want the marriage of Akash with Seema. At last the confusion reslove and Seema finds out the identity of the driver and pseudo Akash is Prashant.Acteurs

Girish Choudhury is a pseudo social activist and politician. He has two sons, Subhendu and Sudhir. To get popularity in society he gets his daughter-in-law from a poor family for his son Subhendu. Subhendu doesn't like his wife Mamata and stays in town and engaged in contracting business with the help of his father. Grish's wife always tortures Mamata and ask for dowry. Mamata silently bears all the pain and torture caused by her mother-in-law. Sudhir, a revolutionist doesn't accept the things happens in his house and revolt back against his father, mother and brother. at last he gets success uniting Subhendu and Mamata.

Rashbihari Samantrai is a landlord and has two sons Anu and Arup. Anu is an industrialist and plans to start an industry in "Sundari Tota", a place owned by his father and inhabited by rural folks. But Rashbihari promises to donate the "Sundari Tota" to his religious guru for building an Ashram. The villagers requested Rashbihari not evacuate them form "Sundari Tota" as they are leaving in this place since years. But the second son Arup, who has a love interest with one of the village girl Jhili, the habitat of the place revolt back with his father against the decision to donate the land to his religious guru. At last Arup convinces his father and ended with marriage of Arup and Jhili.
