Pita - The Father also (Bengali: পিতা) is a Bangladeshi Bengali language film directed by Masud Akhand. It stars Masud Akhand, Shaina Amin, Banya Mirza, Shamima Nazneen, Sumon Kalyan, Jayanta Chattopadhyay and many more. It released on 28 December 2012 in Bangladesh. It also premiered on 5 May 2013 at the Wilshire theater of Beverly Hills, LA.
Rabiul and Ranju are two young men of two different districts of Bangladesh. Rabiul stays in Dhaka for his passion for singing. He was brought up by his grandmother who is his only relative living in village. Grandma writes letters regularly to him. Rabiul’s grandmother has problems with her memory.
