Purushotthama (Kannada: ಪುರುಷೋತ್ತಮ) is a 1992 Indian Kannada romance drama film directed by M. S. Rajashekar and produced by Madhu Bangarappa. The film features Shivarajkumar, Shivaranjini and Madhubala in the lead roles. The film's soundtrack composed by Hamsalekha proved to be very successful.

A young couple Chandu and Sangeetha who planned to get married for blessing of their parents but Sangeeta behave strangley and antagonized and Chandu was attacked by ghost. He recognized ghost on photo was old lady who cursed him before. Chandu learns old lady died and woman revealed the flashback that Deepa who is daughter of rich lady who fall in love with a poor guy but her mother become angry and beaten her own daughter and sent goons to attacked her lover. disgaunt Deepa went to her lover's house and her mother sent fire on house which killing the lovers causing the lady insane. Chandu realized that he and Sangeeta were recantation of ill-fated lovers now Deeps's mother possess of Sangeetha's body to kill Chandu.
