Reba, que l'on croyait morte, est devenue agent de protection de l'environnement. Elle doit retourner à Lake Placid où une clôture électrifiée a été mise en place par l'armée pour protéger les habitants des crocodiles, qui ont atteint une taille énorme. Un soir pourtant, un autobus rempli de jeunes étudiants passent de l'autre côté de la clôture sans le savoir et ils se retrouvent poursuivis par ces crocodiles hors normes.
