Biographie
Hernández Pérez attended the school of Mass Communications at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He earned a Master's degree on Film Directing at the AFI Conservatory in Los Angeles, California. Among his many recognitions, Hernández Pérez was honored with the AFI Franklin J. Schaffner Fellowship Award for Best Director of the Year, and the Directors Guild of America (DGA) announced him as Best Latino Director at The 2003 DGA Student Film Awards.The Mexican Dream, written and directed by Hernández Pérez, won 13 International Film Festivals. Laura et son père Wilson rejoignent une petite bâtisse dans la campagne pour la restaurer afin que Néstor, le propriétaire de la maison, puisse la vendre. Ils vont y passer la nuit à l'intérieur pour pouvoir commencer les travaux le lendemain matin. Tout semble plutôt bien se passer jusqu'au moment où Laura entend des bruits venant de l'extérieur, puis au premier étage. Elle réveille donc son père afin qu'il aille voir ce qu'il se passe à l'étage. Laura attend donc toute seule que son père revienne.
