Qin Yi (Chinese: 秦怡; Wade–Giles: Ch'in I; born 31 January 1922) is a Chinese film and drama actress. She gained fame for her stage performances in the war-time capital Chongqing during the Second Sino-Japanese War. After the war, she became one of China's most popular film actresses throughout the 1950s and the 1960s, and was recognized as one of the country's top four actresses. Premier Zhou Enlai called her the "most beautiful woman in China".
Qin Yi was married to Jin Yan, the Korean-born actor known as China's "Film Emperor" in the 1930s and 1940s. She spent decades caring for their son, who suffered from schizophrenia.
In 1947, Qin Yi married Jin Yan, the Korean-born actor known as China's "Film Emperor" in the 1930s and 1940s. They had a son named Jin Jie (金捷), who suffered from schizophrenia and could not live independently. Qin Yi took constant care of him, especially after the death of her husband in 1983. She also took up the cause of the handicapped. Despite his mental condition, Jin Jie had a talent in painting. At a 2002 charity auction in Shanghai, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger purchased one of his paintings for US$25,000, and praised Qin Yi for her devotion to her son. Jin Jie died in 2007 at the age of 59. She had saved 200,000 yuan for the care of her son, but as he predeceased her, she donated the entire amount to the victims of the 2008 Sichuan earthquake.

Biographie
Qin Yi married actor Chen Tianguo (陈天国) in 1939. The marriage was short-lived as Chen was an alcoholic and physically abusive. She decided to divorce him even though she gave birth to a daughter, who was later renamed Jin Feiheng using her step-father's surname.In 1947, Qin Yi married Jin Yan, the Korean-born actor known as China's "Film Emperor" in the 1930s and 1940s. Avant la création de la république Populaire de Chine, Lin Jie, la fille du dirigeant de l'équipe de basket-ball de Chine orientale à Shanghai, tombe amoureuse du meilleur joueur de l'équipe, Tian Zhenhua. Lors d'un match contre les soldats marins étrangers, le dirigeant, qui a accepté de l'argent pour truquer la partie, ordonne à l'équipe de perdre. Mais Tian, très attaché à la nation qu'il représente, ne veut pas de cet arrangement et dirige l'équipe à la victoire. Le dirigeant embauche des voyous pour qu'ils donnent une leçon à Tian, et oblige également sa fille à épouser un homme riche. 18 ans plus tard, Tian est maintenant l'entraîneur de l'équipe féminine de basket de Shanghai. Xiao Jie, la fille de Lin, est une jeune sportive douée pour le basket, mais qui a aussi des préjugés négatifs sur une carrière sportive. Tian l'aide et l'encourage avec patience. Xiao Jie est blessée dans un match et hospitalisée. Tian et Lin se croisent tous deux lors d'une visite à Xiao Jie et leur amour renaît. Xiao Jie est ensuite sélectionnée dans l'équipe nationale et participe à des compétitions internationales.
