Venkat (Adivi Sesh), Vijju (Madhu Nandan) are protégés of Kattam Raju (Prabhakar). The three goons manage to kidnap actress Shruthi (Manchu Lakshmi) and decide to hide her in an apartment owned by vijju’s boss, Brahmi (Brahmanandam). Brahmi lives in the U.S.A, but much to the kidnappers' surprise, arrives as a private detective to solve the kidnapping case. Chaos ensues when Brahmi realizes that Shruthi has been kept at his own house. The kidnappers join under him as his servants and after a small comedy scenes....the trio keep travelling until the main villain(kattam raju)stopped them and a fight ensues...after that shruti says that she told venkat-adivisesh to kidnap her as she saw her stepmom made a contract with kattamraju to kidnap her daughter...it is then revealed in flash back that sruthi is an orphan and venkat is her best friend.
The story of the film is loosely based on a novel named ‘Godavari Kathalu’, written by BVS Rama Rao. The film is set in 1986, in Bangarappeta village near Rajahmundry. Malli (Aadhi) and Chitra (Lakshmi Manchu) are a newly-wed couple who are forced to battle it out against a devastating flood of the River Godavari. They lose all hope of survival, and decide to narrate the darkest moments of their lives to each other after they find a support to rest on.

Rayudu lives with his wife (Meena Kumari) and two daughters Visalakshi (Madhumitha) and Jagadha (Deeksha Seth) in a small house beside the Mahal. Rayudu rents out the palace to make ends meet. He is shown as a soft and generous man. Some of the tenants take this generosity for granted and harass Rayudu, without paying the rent.
