Synopsis
The film revolves around Kathavarayan (Karan), who sells illicit arrack in Hogenakkal. Though he is involved in arrack trade, he is a man with golden heart. Malathy (Vidisha), a student, comes to the village as part of her NSS project. She vows to end the arrack menace in the village and takes efforts to arrest Kathavarayan. Thanks to her efforts, Kathavarayan gets arrested and lodged in prison in Chennai.Acteurs

Thangaraj (Nassar) is the eldest brother and he has two younger brothers : `Boxer' Krishnan (Vadivelu) and Sivaraman (Karan). Vallarasu (Vijayakanth) is the deputy commissioner of police and a very honest Police Officer who has arrested Wasim Khan a terrorist from Pakistan. He is married and has wife Anjali (Devayani) and 2 children. Vallarasu kills his senior Police officer (Raguvaran) who is his father in law on knowing he is hand-in-glove with terrorists and Anti-National elements. Anjali leaves Vallarasu after she comes to know he had killed her father. Vallarasu takes the help of some youths who are disillusioned by their inability to join the police force to fight the terrorist and other criminal elements. Vallarasu fights R.Kandasamy (P. Vasu) a rich man who is behind the attempts to destabilise the country. With the help of Sheshadri, a software engineer, Vallarasu succeeds in killing the son of R. Kandasamy. Kandasamy in retaliation attacks Sriman and Karan who both die. In the climax, Anjali unites with Vallarasu after knowing the truth and he kills Kandasamy and Wasim Khan.

Krishna (Jayam Ravi) is a happy-go-lucky youth who excels in every field, but always does strange and dangerous things to obtain a certain "kick"- a thrill or excitement that he craves. One such activity is secretly double-crossing his childhood friend Dass (Sathyan) while helping him elope. At this point, he meets Nisha (Tamannaah) who is shocked at his recklessness and writes him off as crazy. Krishna, however, sets his sights on Nisha and woos her in a very unorthodox way; he begs her not to fall in love with him. After a host of comical situations involving Krishna's caring but easy-going parents (Prabhu and Suhasini), local thugs (John Vijay and Mayilsamy), and an ever-present comic relief named Jackson (Vadivelu), Nisha accepts Krishna's love. However she sets a condition; Krishna must stay in a well-paying job- he had resigned from other jobs due to lack of "kick"- and only then will she agree to marry him. Krishna accepts, but soon resigns again for the same reason and tries to hide it from Nisha. When she finds out, Nisha breaks up with him and leaves him for good.

Gopikrishna (Murali) owns an old bus, received as a compensation for his father's road accident, and he is facing lots of consequences due to the pathetic condition of the bus. He sold many valuable things to maintain this bus. His friend Azhagu (Vadivelu) was his only companion and the cleaner of the bus. A mouse had eaten the passport of Azhagu and had spoiled his chances of going abroad. Some part of the film's comedy involves Azhagu running behind this mouse for his revenge. A live TV show, in which Gopikrishna insults the City Traffic Commissioner (Vinuchakravarthy) lands him in more trouble, when the former commands Gopikrishna to leave the city with the bus. Le docteur Saravanan, un psychiatre, retourne en Inde voir son ami Sendhil et sa femme Ganga.
