Ramu (MGR) is the cowardly one – the heir to all riches of Poonjolai Jamin. He has been raised that way by his sister's husband Narendran (Nambiar). Ramu shivers at the very mention of his brother in law's name and a whiplash is Narendran's favorite form of punishment. Narendran wants to get Ramu married to Leela (Saroja Devi) but she is turned off by his cowardice. Ilango (MGR) is a jobless young man, prone to pick a fight and for this reason, the cause of trouble for his mother. Circumstances lead to Ramu and Ilango taking each other's place. Ilango teaches a lesson to Narendran while Ramu learns the ways of the world. Then Ilango teaches Narendran a lesson which forces him to leave the house. Due to this, his sister scolds and he plans to leave by reveal that he was not Ramu. Then the relation of the story reveals that Ramu and Ilango are brothers. With Ramu being kidnapped and Ilango going to help his brother and revealing everything to narendran brings the film to climax.

Gopal (Sivaji Ganesan) is a rich businessman en route to India from Singapore on a cruise ship. He meets Latha (Saroja Devi), another traveller who has been accompanied by her father Ramadurai (V. K. Narayanan was fallen love with Kamala. Radha was find all matters , she is friend kamala also fallen love with her husband. So, she was decide to Murali was married to kamala. Radha slept at the "oonjak" and she is leg was fractured then her leg is cure but is continue her acting. But kamala was objection for radha's request. Then Radha and Murali couples was decided to Kamala was gets married for Narayanan and arranged for wedding hall. But Narayanan not known "Pangajam" character is real name as Kamala. Kamala was end the weekly story for pangajam getting married narayan told to kamala is not a god end. The story good ending is about only tragedy. Kamala consumes 12 sleeping dose and commit suicide.

JB (M.G. Ramachandran) is a wealthy industrialist who decides to take a vacation at his residence in Shimla. Upon his arrival, he discovers that his caretaker (P. D.
