Deadly Soma (Kannada: ಡೆಡ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮ) is a 2005 Kannada action - crime biographical film directed by Ravi Shrivatsa and written by Ravi Belagere. The film is based on the real life incidents of an infamous underworld don, Deadly Soma. The film features Auditya as the protagonist and Rakshita as his lady love. Tara, Devaraj and Avinash play other pivotal roles.
The film featured original score and soundtrack composed by Sadhu Kokila. The film, upon release received positive response from both critics and audience and was subsequently remade in Telugu as Nandeeswarudu (2012). It was also released in Hindi as Ek Aur Aathank.
A sequel film Deadly-2 was made by the director and lead actor and released in 2010 which could not match the success level to this prequel.

Samarth returns from Switzerland to India and eventually gets appointed as a bodyguard to famous actress Maya. He wins over the confidence of Maya and Phalguni along with their family. His real purpose of visit to India is to trace the psychiatrist killer of his brother and thinks that Maya has some special relationship with the killer. He manages to almost convince her that she might be the killer of his brother when a don Kishore who is after Maya kidnaps her and keep her in a remote place. Meanwhile, her friend Ananth who is aware of this entire incident is also abducted. Then enters a specially appointed DCP Vishnu who interrogates everyone involved in this case.
Master Jagannath (Vishnuvardhan) is a disciplined school teacher happily married to Sneha (Suhasini). They both have a girl child named Meghana. Jagannath becomes the most favorite teacher among all the students for his unconditional love towards them. He is a close relative of the Home Minister (Avinash). His daughter is very close friends with Minister's daughter Aditi. Meanwhile, an underworld don Appu (Mukesh Rishi) is under the captivity of the Government and his aids are in a rage to get him released. They hatch a plan to kidnap Minister's daughter Aditi and demand for the release of Appu. By mistake, they kidnap Jagannath's daughter Meghana and demand for the release of Appu in exchange of Megahana. The emotional trauma undergone by the Jagannath's family and the Minister's efforts in releasing the child from the captivity forms the rest of the story.
Bhagirathi (Bhavana) dreams of a tank for her village and inspired by her, Maadevaraya (Kishore), the son of Mallanagowda (Srinath), convinces his father to construct one for the community. When Maadevaraya and Bhagirathi fall in love, class differences come in the way. But when they decide to end their lives, Mallanagowda is moved to solemnise their marriage on the tank's site.
