Some sources by the press say it is a story from Kashmir to Afghanistan to World Trade Center. Filmmaker Faisal Saif has signed a secret contract with every cast member and technician of the film to not reveal the plot to anyone. It was recorded that three Indian actors who were considered to play the title part received threats from unknown organisations. Pakistani singer Ali Haider backed out of the title role because he got death threats for this film.

Based on actual events, the film tells the story of an innocent girl named Jigyaasa Mathur (Hrishitaa Bhatt) who comes from a middle-class family, the daughter of a schoolteacher named Malini Mathur (Varsha Usgaonkar).
