High Society is a 1924 American short silent comedy film directed by Robert F. McGowan. It was the 29th Our Gang short subject released.
Synopsis
Mickey lives a simple but satisfying life with his Uncle Patrick. His wealthy Aunt Kate petitions and wins custody of Mickey, forcing him to leave his home and his uncle, his friends, and his dog behind. Fighting with his cousin Percy and forced to take daily baths and manicures, Mickey is miserable. He writes a letter to Uncle Pat asking him and the gang to come visit. During their visit the gang destroys the house, including swinging from the chandelier and skating on a liquid soap 'ice rink' in the kitchen. An alarm is sent out, bringing the police, the fire department, an ambulance, and others to the house just as Aunt Kate arrives home. Seeing the destruction and realizing her mistake in bringing Mickey to her home, Aunt Kate asks Uncle Pat to take Mickey back, to both of their delight.Acteurs

The gang has a taxi, consisting of an old Model T with no engine, pushed by a horse. When the owner takes his horse back, they must rely on motorists to tow them to the top of the hill so they can coast down. The kids try to play with Toughy and his train but are rebuked, so they build their own railroad instead. Author Fawn Ochletree (Clara Guiol) stages a charity performance of her latest play, a Romanesque epic. The gang and other neighborhood kids are forced into starring in the play, much to the chagrin of the gang. They are completely unable to remember their lines, and struggle with maintaining their composure during the more serious moments of the melodrama. Mickey is in the hospital to have his tonsils removed. The gang decide to visit him, and end up causing all sorts of disasters. They manage to work their way into both the x-ray and operating rooms, and become subdued after inhaling some powerful laughing gas. The kids want to get in on the free ice cream given to patients getting their tonsils removed, and decide to switch places with some boys headed to the hospital. But the doctors catch onto the gang's scheme, and a chase through the hospital ensues.

Near West Coast Studios in Hollywood, the gang is waging a street war against a rival group of kids; their ammunition primarily consisting of old vegetables. The battle is halted when Mary is called to act in one of the West Coast films. The rest of the gang tries to crash the studio gates and get a role in the picture, but the casting director throws them out. Farina manages to sneak into the studio, however, prompting the other kids to sneak in after her. Several chases throughout the property then ensue and the gang eventually escapes - with a little help from Harold Lloyd.
