Honeyland is a 1935 animated film in the Happy Harmonies series (the second in 3-strip Technicolor), based on the song, sung by the vaudevillian trio, the Brox Sisters.

Synopsis

Bees are harvesting nectar from flowers to make honey, as the camera turns to a trio of singing bees. They perform the song as bees are shown making honey, using ways like human techniques of farming, a stereotypical "French chef" tasting it, and melting candle wax to preserve, a reference to beeswax.

Rudolf Ising is thinking of ideas for a new character, until he draws a blackfaced person, who comes to life. The new character introduces himself as Bosko, and he speaks, sings, dances and plays the piano before Ising sucks him into his ink pen and pours him back into the inkwell. Bosko pops out of the bottle and promises to return.

Bosko part dans la jungle pour chasser les animaux. Il est d'abord à la poursuite d'un tigre dont il se débarrasse avec malice puis rencontre un bébé chimpanzé mais ce dernier ne veut pas jouer et lui crache dessus. Bosko lui frappe sur les fesses et son père, un gorille, apparaît. Dès lors, Bosko parvient à détourner l'attention du père en lui offrant un chewing-gum. Ils deviennent alors amis et Bosko continue son périple en faisant de la musique avec les autres animaux de la jungle. Un véritable concert de musique finit l'aventure.
