Hudugaru (Kannada:ಹುಡುಗರು) is a 2011 Kannada-language drama film directed by K. Madesh, starring Puneet Rajkumar, Yogesh, Srinagar Kitty and Radhika Pandit in the lead roles. The film, which is a remake of the successful 2010 Tamil film Naadodigal, was produced by Parvathamma Rajkumar, with V. Harikrishna having composed the soundtrack and Satya Hegde was the cinematographer. The film released on 5 May 2011 and performed well at the box office similar to Puneeth's previous film Jackie.

The film earned Puneeth Rajkumar Filmfare Best Actor Award in Kannada.

Synopsis

Three youths – Prabhu, Chandru and Siddesh (Puneeth Rajakumar, Srinagara Kitty and Yogesh respectively) aspiring for government job, computer center and to settle in Dubai are struck with a bad luck in life when Sudhir (Vishal Hegde), a best friend of Prabhu falls in love with the daughter of a business tycoon.

Rama Chandra (NTR Jr) is an orphan who leads a simple life along with his friend (played by Ali). He falls in love with Sathya (Trisha Krishnan), who is a very rich girl. Sathya imposes a condition that Rama Chandra's family history and pedigree are very important. At this very moment, Rama Chandra comes to know that a rich and powerful royal family is on the lookout to adopt an heir and Rama Chandra seizes the chance. Rama Chandra does not like violence and he tries his best to solve the problems peacefully. But the rival gang does not give him a chance. Vexed with the violence Rama Chandra kills Nasser's two sons and opens eyes of Nasser by placing a sword on Nasser's third son. In climax, Nasser realises that he was wrong and apologizes to all. Rama Chandra becomes the hero of the village.

The story revolves around Balu (Srinagara Kitty), who comes to Halekote village, falls in love with Rukmini (Radhika Pandit), but is brainwashed by a college lecturer (Rangayana Raghu).
