Kalyana Mandapam (Telugu: కళ్యాణ మండపం) is a 1971 Telugu-language film starring Shobhan Babu, Kanchana, Kongara Jaggaiah, Anjali, Gummadi and others. The film was distributed by Anjali Pictures and directed by V. Madhusudhan Rao.

This movie is a remake of the national award winning Kannada film Gejje Pooje directed by Puttanna Kanagal in 1969.

This film deals with the Devadasi tradition prevalent in Zamindari Andhra culture and deals with the dream of a young Devadasi girl wanting to get married to her childhood lover. But circumstances push her into being a temple dancer towards the end of the movie, culminating in her death. Kanchana plays the role of the Devadasi girl and gives a stunning performance. Viewers empathise with the character throughout.

Music is by P. Adinarayana Rao. Renditions by S.P. Balasubramaniam and P. Susheela of Pilichevaruntey palikenu nenu, Saregama padanisa, Chukkalu paade subha manthram are memorable.

Murali (Venkatesh) a student completed his MA LLB and he is love with girl Rekha (Shobana). Ranga (Akkineni) is son of Teacher (Raavi Kondala Rao). His friend is Vasu (Jaggaiah). Buchabbai is proprietor of Buchabbai Estates. Buchabbai has a son Raju (Chalam) and two daughters (Kanchana and Rajasree). Vasu and Elder daughter are in love each other. Ranga works in the office of Buchabbai. Ranga hits the car driven by the daughters of Buchabbai. They influence their father to remove Ranga from the service. He protests peacefully in front of their house with friends. During this period he gets close to their daughters and son. He finally convinces Buchabbai with the help of Vasu (in disguise of his rich father) and becomes his son-in-law.

Gummadi is a wealthy man. He has two daughters. His father is Relangi. Gummadi loves his elder daughter Sundari (Kanchana) dearly and appoints a Private Master (Ram Mohan) for tuition at home. Krishna (Krishna) wanted to become very rich and is prepared to do anything with the help of his friends Vijayalalitha and Chalam. During the private tuitions Sundari and teacher started loving each other. They decided to marry with the permission of their elders. Krishna traps Gummadi and wanted to become his son-in-law. There is a friction between the family members. Gummadi is ready to forget he help from the father of Private Master and decides to marry Sundari with Krishna. Grandfather Relangi helps Sundari and Private Master to marry in a Temple. To ease the tension and save the family prestige, her sister Sukanya convinces Krishna for marrying her. Gummadi sends Sundari out of home. They live happily in poverty, while Krishna gradually making money. Finally Grandfather with the help of Private master and Sundari exposes Krishna and his friends and the film ends happily.

Radha (Manjula) is a medical student daughter of wealthy man, Raghupati Rao (Nagabhushanam). While on a trip to Simla, she meets and falls in love with Gopi (Shobhan Babu); they get intimate with each other. Gopi asks Raghupati Rao for his daughter's hand but he refuses, on the ground that the hard-up Gopi is not worthy of her. Gopi leaves Radha a note, explaining that her father refused the alliance and that he is heading to meet his mother, who is very sick. Raghupati Rao gets hold of the letter before Radha. He changes the letter with a fake one that says Gopi is going away because Raghupati Rao has refused to provide any monetary compensation.

Madhu also called Chinnababu (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) a zamindar's son is very gullible who every one laughs at. One day he meets a girl Vasanthi (Jamuna) who stays in a portion of his house. Vasanthi becomes very friendly with Madhu and behaves very close to him as she sees Madhu just as a brother and nothing else where as in Madhu mistakens Vasanthi's friendly nature to love. One day Madhu has to leave to Chennai for higher studies. He writes letters but he never get any reply from Vasanthi to any of his letters. When he comes back he finds out Vasanthi and her family left the city without telling anybody. Madhu finds a letter from which he realizes that Vasanthi only saw him as a brother. He gets very depressed and falls sick. Seetha (Savitri), Ramakrishnaiah (Gummadi)'s daughter takes care of Madhu by taking care of his health and giving him company. The whole story is how he recovers from the depression he faces because of Vasanthi.
