Naa Ishtam (Telugu: నా ఇష్టం, English: As I wish) is a 2012 Telugu-language film directed by Prakash Toleti which features Rana Daggubati and Genelia D'Souza in the lead roles. Production began in April 2011 and features music by Chakri. The film was released on 23 March 2012 to mixed response. The film's satellite rights were sold to Gemini TV for ₹3.20 Cr. The movie grossed about ₹30 million in 3 days after its release in A.P. It was dubbed into Tamil as Kadhal Nayagan.

Synopsis

Gani (Rana), who is an extremely selfish person, lives and works in Malaysia. Into his life comes Krishnaveni (Genelia) unexpectedly and everything changes. Krishnaveni loves Kishore (Harshavardhan Rane) and she elopes from home as her father Naidu (Nasser) does not approve of her choice. But Kishore doesn’t turn up and she feels cheated. Gani's selfish nature gets him to lie to Krishnaveni and he takes her home to Naidu in the hope of making some money.

Dharmayya Naidu (Vijaya Kumar) is an underworld kingpin who lost his wife because he is uneducated. Hence he wants to felicitate education in his seema area by constructing schools. He realizes that the quarry he owns has good quality granite deposits. Samba (NTR) is the son of Dharmayya Naidu. Prakash (Prakash Raj) is the son-in-law of Dharmayya Naidu. Prakash plays the game in such a way that Dharmayya Naidu is forced to give granite quarry as a dowry to Prakash's family, due to which Dharmayya Naidu's daughter commits suicide. When Samba comes to know the reason behind his sister's suicide, he occupies the quarry and kills the brothers of Prakash. Prakash kills everybody in the house of Samba in retaliation.

Chitra (Genelia) is a loner who comes to Araku seeking employment as a school teacher. Krishna (Arun) is an aspiring director who comes to Araku for a test shoot and to complete the script of his debut film. Circle Inspector (Prakash Raj) has a wife & young kids. Chitra spent an year in a mental asylum because she witnessed her family being murdered. Chitra & Krishna become friends. While Chitra is looking through her binoculars, she witnesses a murder where she can clearly see the victim's face. Chitra reports the incident to the police, but they find no evidence of the crime. Chitra suspects that her past mental condition is relapsing. Eventually, the police finds out that the female victim did, in fact, exist. They have a CD that shows Circle Inspector & the female victim together in a store. The victim is none other than the Circle Inspector's dead girlfriend's daughter. He cannot acknowledge their illegitimate relation without tainting his reputation. It is revealed that he lured his daughter to Araku to kill her. Although Chitra witnessed the murder, the Circle Inspector tried to make it look like a figment of Chitra's imagination, and is infuriated when Chitra refuses to believe that the murder was her hallucination. Chitra & Krishna try to take the disc & escape, but Circle Inspector tries to kill Krishna, whose foot is injured by Krishna. Circle Inspector's holds Krishna at gunpoint, but Chitra refuses to give the disc to him. She slaps the Circle Inspector, who decides to let go of Krishna and commits suicide. Chitra says that she didn't think that Circle Inspector was going to kill her & Krishna because he already framed a dead officer for the victim's murder. Chitra & Krishna take the disc as evidence to the police. The film ends with the union of Chitra & Krishna.

Satyam (Sumanth) is an aspiring lyric writer who has a knack for inadvertently getting misunderstood by the two people he cares for the most—his father (Malladi Raghava) and his love interest Ankita (Genelia D'Souza). Bullabbayi (Sivaji) is fond of his sister-in-law Rajeswari (Meera Jasmine). He loves her so much and wanted to be flawless with good character. Though Rajeswari behaves that she is not interested in him, she really loves him. Bullabbayi has a property dispute with his stepbrother Veerababu (Subbaraju). In a bid to save a girl called Chintamani (Sangeeta) from being sold by a brothel owner (Anuradha) to Veerababu, Bullabbayi pays her money and takes Chintamani with him and keeps her in his outhouse. Bullabbayi tells her to leave the place the next day, but accidentally, seduces Chintamani, after an attack by Veerababu's men against him. Being an honest boy, Bullabbayi reveals everything to his father-in-law and urges him to stop the marriage, but the latter refuses to do so. Again, Bullabbayi innocently reveals the incident to Rajeswari as he doesn't want to cheat her that he was pious and flawless. Rajeswari attempts suicide and gets saved by Bullabbayi. However, Rajeswari refuses to share the marital life with Bullabbayi. A few days later, her father convinces her and appeals to honour his honesty. Being impressed with his innocence, Rajeswari allows him into the bedroom and they enjoy a good family life. As a result, Rajeswari turns pregnant, so also Chintamani. How Bullabbayi managed both his pregnant wives? Did Chintamani comes into the life of Rajeswari? Did Rajeswari keep mum on learning Chintamani was also pregnant and Bullabbayi continued to pamper her? What happened to the property dispute between Bullabbayi and Veerababu? How Veerababu reacted against Bullabbayi? Answers to all these questions form part of the climax.
