Kailasam and revolves around conversations between Kailasam and female protagonists from four of his plays. While MG Srinivas played T. P. Kailasam, Chaya Singh played all the four female characters: Paatu from Tollugatti, Eeke from Gandaskathri, Venkamma from Home Rule and Sule from the play Sule. It is inspired by the classic play Typical Arathi, written by A S Murthy. The film opened to rave reviews from critics and gained instant recognition when it was selected by the Jury of the Prestigious Platinum Remi Award at the 44th Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.
Synopsis
Simply Kailawesome is an ode to yesteryear legendary playwright T.P. Kailasam. It has a quirky take on the characters created by Kailasam in the past and how they start complaining to him as soon as he lands in the present, trying to find their current status.Acteurs

15 years after an accident in which Bala's parents both died, Bala returns with wife, Revathi, and son, Anand, to his hometown. They decide to stay a couple of nights in the massive house that he grew up in. As he spends a few days in the house and recalls his memories, Anand- who has a disability to speak- sees movement around the house. But he cannot tell anyone what he witnesses. Soon Revathi who suffers from claustrophobia, deduces poltergeist activity in the house and so tells Bala that they have to go back to Chennai. Anand enjoys being in the presence of the ghosts and doesn't find any problem. Problems come up between the couple that they had never thought of when they had love marriage. Soon Revathi discovers that they did not come on holiday but in fact, came to escape some rowdies that Bala owes money to. This is when Bala's classmate and business partner, Jeeva, arrives to stay with them. His company had borrowed 40 lakhs from a rowdy and over the months it had increased to 50 lakhs but he is unable to pay back any money as his agent, who was supposed to give him 2 crores, runs away and is nowhere to be found. With the help of ghosts, Bala and his family find a way to escape from being kept under house arrest. Bala's partner who has been jealous of him had the money the whole time to pay the rowdies.

Vikram (Tanveer), a poor guy falls in love with Sapna (Chaya Singh) seeing her innocence, her humanity and her charisma but hell breaks loose on him when he comes to know of her marriage. The first impulse is wrath, hatred and accusations of being cheated but then love overpowers everything and he goes on to love her even more. Vikram comes to know of Sapna’s poor and deplorable state and also her miserable condition, all thanks to her mentally sick and physically handicapped husband Bissonath (Arjun Chakraborty) who has reached this state following an accident. Bissonath also has a sister called Aparna (Payal Karak) whom he loves very much and she too has a boyfriend Uday (Riwk). Both Bissonath and Aparna leave no opportunity to disgrace and insult Sapna. Now Vikram’s only aim in life is to take Sapna out of that hell and bring to her life all the happiness in the world.

The movie opens with Nandita (Chaya Singh) and her husband Anand (Partiban) in the process of getting a divorce. Nandita's lawyer accuses Anand of physically abusing Nandita, calling him a sadist. A flashback takes the audience back to the circumstances of their marriage. A happy working girl from the city, Nandita returns to her home village for a family function, only to find that her father, who due to differences with his sister, has decided to marry Nandita off elsewhere. Nandita, who has spent her life falling in love with Sekar (Srikanth), her cousin and original fiancé, cannot agree to this sudden marriage. However, her father forces her to agree, and the marriage to Anand takes place in less than a week. The newlyweds move back to the city, and though the kind and jovial Anand attempts to lead a life with her and make her fall in love with him, Nandita does not budge. She is normally cold and impolite, except for when she sees constant reminders of Sekar. The scene cuts back to the family court, where Nandita has gotten the divorce and she calls Anand for a final farewell, telling him to find a girl he will truly love. Now, Nandita is a free woman, living life the way she wants to, and dreaming of seeing Sekar again. She moves to a new apartment, gets a new job, and a new friend- her housekeeper, Savitri. Things are going well, but Anand is a constant unwanted presence in her life- greeting her every morning and calling her frequently. When asked why he's still around he tells her that he likes no one else but her. One Valentine's Day, Nandita sees Sekar on TV, talking about her as his soulmate, his first love. To her surprise he announces that he is getting married soon, because she is already married. An upset Nandita is pushed even further over the edge when she finds out that Savitri has been talking to Anand about Nandita. She leaves on a company business trip for a few days;a visit to a school for disabled children. Learning a few life lessons, she comes back a changed woman, and becomes open to getting to know Anand for the first time. The end of the movie shows her and Anand happily spending time with each other.
