The Woman on the Jury is a lost 1924 silent film drama produced and released by Associated First National and directed by Harry Hoyt. It is based on a Broadway stage play, The Woman on the Jury, and stars Sylvia Breamer and Bessie Love. The story was refilmed in 1929 as an early talkie under the title The Love Racket starring Dorothy Mackaill.

In 1914 Vienna, Elsa Elsbergen volunteers for nursing, but her lies hiding her sordid past are discovered and she is turned down. However, Captain Muller believes her patriotism and background are perfect for the Austrian Department of Intelligence. As described in a film magazine, Lovey Mary (Clark) is an inmate of an orphanage who runs away a little boy with whom she has become strongly attached. Not long after the death of his first wife, Walter Fairchild becomes engaged to Florence Wendell. Florence ignores the warnings of Gilbert Gaylord, who is also interested in marrying her, that she doesn't know what she is getting herself into; that no woman will ever be able to fill the void in Fairchild's life left by the death of his wife. After they are married, Fairchild and Florence have some contention as she buys into the warnings given her by Gaylord. To appease her, they move out of the house he shared with his first wife, and allows her to furnish the new home. Sensing that he and his new wife need some time alone together to start their new lives, he sends his seven-year-old son, Walter Jr., to a boarding school in Switzerland. After Florence becomes pregnant, Fairchild is notified that is son is very ill, and will most likely not recover. Despite Florence's pleas for him not to leave her, he travels to his son's side. As he leaves, Florence tells him not to return.

Jack Hearne préfère vivre avec les bohémiens plutôt que de réclamer sa part du domaine de Cragsnest, dont dispose son demi-frère Phillip Royston. Toutefois, après avoir sauvé d'un incendie Ruth Heckett, la fille de son ami Joe, un oiseleur de Londres mais aussi un cambrioleur, il change d'état d'esprit et se marie avec elle. Ruth et Jack embarquent dans un steamer pour l'Amérique pour retrouver des témoins du mariage de ses parents et ainsi prouver son droit à l'héritage, Bos, un des complices de Joe, offre à Ruth une bible qu'il a volée à Cragsnest. Ce qu'ils ne savent pas, c'est que cette bible contient le certificat de mariage des parents de Jack, certificat que Royston recherche lui aussi, mais pour le détruire. Jack est attiré hors du bateau par Laura, une bohémienne sous le charme de Royston, matraqué, drogué, et jeté à l'eau, mais Bos réussit à le sauver. À Southampton, le steamer fait naufrage, ils sauvent Ruth, qui a entre-temps découvert le certificat, et d'autres passagers, pendant que Royston et Laura se noient.
