Akshaya is a Tamil film actress, who has appeared in Tamil films. She is probably best known for her performances in Kalabhak Kadhalan and Engal Aasan. She is the granddaughter of the famous character actress Chaya Devi.
Post 2012, the actress has not featured in any other films. Several of her proposed films including Imbathukkum Aasai Varum, Manmadha Rajyam, Pattikattu Mappillai, Thasaiyinai Thee Sudinum and the Telugu film, Nakantu Okaru, were started but left incomplete.
