Sarath Babu (Telugu: శరత్ బాబు) (born Sathyam Babu Dixithulu) is an Indian film actor, known for his works in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi films. He has been in the industry for nearly 37 years and has acted in more than 200 films, most of them in a supporting role. He has acted in 80 films each in Telugu and Tamil, 20 in Kannada, a few in Malayalam and Hindi He entered the film industry in 1973 through a Telugu film and later became popular through the Tamil film Nizhal Nijamagiradhu directed by K Balachander. He has received eight state Nandi Awards.

Karthik (Mahat Raghavendra) is a careless Engineering student, who is least bothered about his studies the result of which is 16 backlogs. Chandu (Nagarjuna) is a very selfish, self-made and cutthroat businessman in New York who runs a successful Event Organizing Agency and is aided by his uncle Sundar (M. S. Narayana), friends Bharath (Bharath Reddy) and Maya (Meera Chopra). Chandu never believes in relationships and family bonding citing them as a mess to discard. He is always involved in romantic activities with many girls sans commitment. Maya loves Chandu but as fate would have it, She marries Kamaraju (Brahmanandam), an aged yet wealthy doctor to rob his wealth. On the advice of Chandu, she applies for divorce and gets the money from him. However, she realizes that Chandu dumped her and makes a plan to teach him a lesson. She manipulates the terms and conditions of the agreement entered between Chandu and another big businessman PR (Ashish Vidyarthi) regarding organizing a charity show. According to the fraudulent terms since the show was unsuccessful, PR gets every right to recover the whole consignment amount from PR. Chandu lands in financial soup and is desperately in need of Money. Thus, he finally decides to visit his grandparents in India who is hoping to meet him since years.

Shirdi Sai (Nagarjuna) appears in Shirdi at an early age and disappears. He goes to the Himalayas and returns to Shirdi after a gap of 9 years. He chooses a dilapidated mosque as his abode. Amazed by his presence and miracles, the local people start calling him Sai Baba. He kept helping people around and spreading communal harmony by saying that there is only one God. An ancient painting of Chandramukhi, alias Nagavalli (Anushka Shetty), floats away to a distant place, where it finally comes into the hands of a village painter. The painter takes it home to restore it. When his wife asks him to sell the painting, he becomes furious, saying that he wouldn't sell it off even at the cost of his life. The next day, the painter is shown to be dead under mysterious circumstances, possibly being a suicide. The painting is then sold off to a dance competition, which was distributed as a prize to Bharatanatyam dancer Gayathri (Kamalinee Mukherjee), her husband and her family. Indu (Manjari Phadnis) is a music loving girl. Her mother is a Malayali and father (Vizag Prasad) Telugu.
