William Robert Cardille (born December 10, 1928) — known as Bill Cardille and "Chilly Billy" — is a broadcast personality from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Originally from Sharon, Pennsylvania, Cardille first worked at WICU in Erie. He was for many years a fixture on Channel 11 (formerly call letters WIIC, now WPXI), the NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh, and was the first voice heard when WIIC went on the air on September 1, 1957.
Chiller Theater
After years of hosting many other local shows on WIIC (at a time where local stations often produced a significant amount of local programming), Cardille became host of the show for which he is probably best known: Chiller Theatre, a late night Saturday program that showed horror and science fiction films. The show earned him his nickname "Chilly Billy." The program aired from 1963 until its cancellation in 1983. Joe Flaherty, a Pittsburgh native, acknowledges this show as an influence in the formation of the popular "Monster Chiller Horror Theatre" sketches on SCTV.
Other work
Cardille also hosted other programs including Studio Wrestling, and a combination game show /movie program that ran in the late afternoon. He hosted a teen dance show, the Four O'Clock Money Movie, and Movies to Laugh By for WIIC. He remains the local host for the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. Cardille appeared in both the 1968 original version and the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead, in the television movie, The Assassination File, and in the documentary American Scary. He was especially famous in Boston, where the weekly pro wrestling program was extremely popular. Cardille also called the play-by-play of western Pennsylvania high school basketball playoff games for many years on WQED-TV, the Pittsburgh PBS affiliate. Cardille also hosted morning radio shows on Pittsburgh radio stations WWSW and WIXZ.
Outside of broadcasting, Cardille owned and operated Chilly Billy Cardille Travel and Tours in Wexford for many years, which was managed by his son, Bill Jr.

Until 2014, Cardille could be heard on radio station WJAS AM 1320 in the mid-day slot. He retired from WJAS in 2014. He resides in McCandless, in Pittsburgh's North Hills, with his wife Louise. He is also the father of actress Lori Cardille who played the lead role in Romero's Day of the Dead.
Pittsburgh City Council, as well as officials from Mercer County and Sharon, PA, announced plans to honor Cardille with a proclamation to declare September 28, 2010 "Bill Cardille Day.

Johnnie et Barbara, frère et sœur, se rendent sur la tombe de leur mère. À peine sont ils arrivés que Barbara est attaquée par un zombie. Johnnie parvient à arracher Barbara des griffes de son agresseur mais chute pendant la lutte, se fracassant le crâne sous les yeux médusés de sa sœur. Barbara réussit à s'enfuir et trouve refuge dans une maison non loin de là. À peine entrée, elle se rend compte que des zombies cernent la maison. Arrive alors Ben, un afro-américain dans son 4X4 en passe de tomber en panne d'essence, qui veut se cloisonner dans la maison en attendant du secours. Ayant entendu du bruit à l'intérieur, ils découvrent qu'ils ne sont pas seuls dans la maison. En effet, cinq autres personnes se sont réfugiés dans la cave. Il s'agit de Tom, le neveu du propriétaire de la maison, sa femme Judy-Rose, Harry, sa femme Helen et leur fille Sarah qui est blessée. Dès lors, ils vont essayer de trouver un moyen de survivre en empêchant les zombies d'entrer la maison tout en espérant que les secours arriveront vite.

Barbra Blair et son frère Johnny se rendent en Pennsylvanie pour venir se recueillir sur la tombe de leur père. Ce rite annuel irrite Johnny, qui cherche à effrayer Barbra, en lui affirmant que les morts vont venir la chercher. Barbra, énervée, s'isole, et se fait agresser par une personne à la démarche mécanique et au visage ravagé. Son frère la défend, mais meurt dans la lutte, la tête fracassée contre une pierre tombale. Barbra s'enfuit et se réfugie dans une ferme isolée, où elle découvre le corps mutilé d'une femme. Voulant quitter la maison, elle est confrontée à l'homme du cimetière et d'autres étranges personnages menaçants. Un routier afro-américain, Ben, la rejoint, et barricade portes et fenêtres avec des planches. Il trouve aussi une radio et un fusil de chasse. Barbra s'évanouit, et reste en état de choc à son réveil.
