Chelsia Ng is an actress from Malaysia.

Biographie

Penang-born Ng made her first step in the entertainment scene in the Malaysian English-language comedy Kopitiam as Rain, an assistant in Steven's (Lim) salon.

Besides Kopitiam, she was part of local Cantonese sitcom Homecoming as well as being a member of the supporting cast of Tin Gei Bin.

Ng had a role in the film Salon in 2005, for which she earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in the 19th Malaysia Film Festival the following year.

In 2006 Ng returned to television by playing Melody in Realiti. In 2008, she starred in Ghost and Ampang Medikal. Later on in 2009, she played the role of Yvonne who is the best friend of Miasara(Liyana Jasmay) in Afdlin Shauki's "Papadom".

The film is a fiction loosely based from the Malaysia's historic event occurred within 1969, when the racial tension reach its height. The film portrays the close friendship between the second Malaysian prime minister, Tun Abdul Razak and his deputy, Tun Dr Ismail. They were secretive about their health problems as they had the task of restoring the peace in their country following the events of 13 May 1969. Tun Razak was suffering from leukaemia and he had to keep it a secret from his family. They both sought the services of Dr. Macpherson. The reading room of Tun Dr Ismail became a secret clinic for their treatment.

Appalasamy (Gana) and his wife Nalaini (Jaclyn Victor) is blessed with a beautiful girl called Shruthi (Raja). One fateful day, Nalaini gets into a car accident while on the phone arguing with Appalasamy. He promises to his late wife that he will take good care of their daughter, in which leaves him to become overprotective of her. When Shruthi turns 17 years old, she decides to continue her studies in Kuala Lumpur to be more independent. Secretly, Appalasamy applies work as a gardener in her college to look after her. Trouble starts to brew when a famous singer decides to court Shruthi.
