Conrad Wells (1892 New York, New York – January 2, 1930 Santa Monica, California) American cinematographer

He began his film career as a camera assistant, becoming a full cameraman in 1919. He specialized in outdoor cinematography
often on Westerns and action-adventure films. Conrad Wells was born as Abraham Fried but began using "Conrad Wells" in 1927.

On January 2, 1930 while filming aerial scenes for the film Such Men Are Dangerous he was killed in a tragic plane crash over the Pacific Ocean along with 9 others: pilot Walter Ross Cook, cameraman George Eastman, assistant director Ben Frankel, assistant director Max Gold, Tom Harris, Harry Johannes, Otto Jordon, director Kenneth Hawks, and pilot Halleck Rouse. The planes that crashed into each other were identical Stinson SM-1F Detroiters, sun glare was listed as probable cause.

He is buried at the Home of Peace Memorial Park in East
Los Angeles, California.

Wealthy divorced American Willoughby Quimby has been living in Paris, France for ten years when he learns his adult daughter Elizabeth is coming to visit. He has been living the high life full of wine and women but decides to forego both during her stay. Elizabeth gets bored with him so she begins seeing rakish artist Paul De Launay. Quimby's young pal Freddie Fletcher saves Elizabeth from the clutches of de Launay in the nick of time. After Elizabeth's marriage to Freddie her father returns to his wanton ways.

Eileen O'Hara vit avec son père en tant que membres d'un culte religieux appelé The Shining Band dans un complexe situé dans les Adirondacks. L'infidélité de sa mère, il y a quelques années , a laissé son père aigri . Peyster Sproul, en tant que président du club Sagamore, tente d’acheter le terrain des O'Hara pour devenir un lieu de villégiature estival. Sproul est l'homme avec lequel la mère d'Eileen a été infidèle. M. O'Hara reconnaît Sproul, ils se disputent et M. O'Hara décède. Sproul soudoie ensuite Amasu Munn, le chef de culte malhonnête, pour obtenir une réclamation illégitime sur la propriété. Sproul tente de voler l'acte à Eileen mais est contrecarré par le jeune Dr. Lansing qui est tombé amoureux d'Eileen.
