Don Wilbanks (born Thomas Donald Wilbanks on October 4, 1926; died July 26, 2013) was an American actor who appeared in such television series as Rawhide, Tate, Twilight Zone, Tales of Wells Fargo, Laramie, Bat Masterson, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, Bonanza, Cheyenne, Convoy, Mayberry R.F.D., The Guns of Will Sonnett , 77 Sunset Strip, Ironside, Mod Squad, Lancer, The Virginian, Charlie's Angels and Lawman, among others.
Wilbanks was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma, and moved to California to live with his mother when his father was called to active duty at the outbreak of World War II (1939). After the war, he attended Montana State University, where he was a star on the football field. After being invited to join an amateur theater group in San Diego (Drury Lane Theater), he decided to leave his successful service station business, and moved to North Hollywood in 1955 with his young family to start his professional acting career. Wilbanks was first cast as an extra in several movies and television shows. His first credited role came in the 1958 episode of Tales of Wells Fargo titled "The Sooners". Additional roles came in mostly other Western TV shows throughout the 1960s.
Wilbanks died on July 26, 2013.

A former American Volunteer Group pilot, Harry Walker (David Janssen), who flies a Hughes 500C helicopter for Salt Lake City radio station KBEX as a traffic reporter, is introduced doing an afternoon rush-hour report during a station nostalgia promotion in which standards from the World War II era are being played on air. Opening credits run over aerial combat footage borrowed from the 1942 Republic Pictures film Flying Tigers, then segues into footage of a P-40 Warhawk in full sharkmouth scheme being towed along the highway to the radio station by Walker as part of the promotion.

A DC-8 airliner on a regular flight departs for the Western United States when a bomb threat is made to the airline company that the plane belongs to. It is later revealed that the bomb is a pressure sensitive one and will set off if the plane goes below regular cruising altitudes. Several attempts to find the bomb on board the flight, including tearing open several areas in the cabin and cockpit, fail to no avail. Faced with a fuel shortage, the captain then comes up with the idea to land at an airport that is on a high altitude. Towards the end the bomb is discovered where it was last expected to be placed: The pilot's bag.
