Marina Grigorievna Golub (Russian: Марина Григорьевна Голуб; 8 December 1957 — 9 October 2012) was a Russian film, television and stage actress. Most well known for her performances in Russian television program Morning Mail, Ah, Semenovna, Girls, Travelling Naturalist.
Her father – GRU Colonel Grigori E. Golub (1923-2014), a former military intelligence officer, served as consul in Finland and his mother – actress Ludmila Golub, played in the Theater Gogol. Grandfather – Efim Samoilovich Golub, at one time was the People's Commissar of Finance of the Ukrainian SSR (arrested in 1937). In 1979 she graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School. From 2002 to 2012 she played on stage in the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre.
Murdered in Moscow on the night of 9 to 10 October 2012 in a road accident.

Le rêve de retrouver un vieil oncle en Amérique, tout le monde l'a fait, mais retrouver ses ancêtres, ses vraies racines, cela peut prendre une vie. Alors s'adresser à une agence spécialisée... quoi de plus normal pour Baruk, Andrew, Irène ou Samuel, qui vivent aux quatre coins du monde depuis deux générations. Ces gens, comme beaucoup d'autres, ont perdu les leurs pendant la révolution ou la Deuxième Guerre mondiale. C'est à ce moment précis que leur chemin croise celui d'Edik Letov, jeune aventurier, qui trouve là une occasion de s'enrichir en persuadant les habitants d'une petite ville d'Ukraine de jouer, juste pour une semaine, le rôle de ces familles tant recherchées. Après un casting méticuleux, Edik crée une famille imaginaire pour chacun des quatre prétendants et organise leurs retrouvailles à Golotvine.

The film is set during the Khrushchev Thaw in Soviet Crimea, Ukraine, and concentrates on a young cadet in the Red Army named Viktor (Igor Petrenko), who becomes a chauffeur for a general (Bohdan Stupka) and begins a relationship with the general's disabled and volatile daughter, Vera (Alena Babenko). Viktor becomes involuntarily involved in a plot by the KGB whereby KGB agent Saveliev (Andrei Panin) pushes Viktor to spy on the general for KGB purposes. As the action develops around Viktor's relationship with Vera and his conflicted reasons for pursuing it, contrasted with the raw sexual tension between Viktor and the maid, Lida (Yekaterina Yudina) and her scathing attack on his motives rel Vera, the KGB, using Agent Saveliev, plots to take down and ultimately kill the general. Nobody is safe.

In late 17th-century Russia, Czar Peter the Great orders an attack on Turkey, which refuses to pay taxes to the Russian government. The Russian military is equipped with outdated technology, and they suffer their first defeat. After the defeat the czar orders the building of a fleet, and sends many educated men to study in Germany, France, and Holland. Russian victory over Turkey will not only force the Turks to pay taxes, but also make the Sea of Azov accessible to the Russians.
