Ricky Kej (born 5 August 1981) is an Indian usician, composer and producer, born in North Carolina, USA. He works primarily in New Age and World Music. He has released a number of albums throughout his career, including 7 on the Virgin EMI record label. Kej began his career producing and creating radio and TV jingles. He was also a keen keyboard and guitarist for a number of bands.
In his early career he released three albums before licensing his albums with Virgin EMI. In 2011, he created the opening ceremony song for the 2011 Cricket World Cup. In 2012, he was awarded by VH1 as India Rules – Artist.

The film is all about a traffic constable Venkata (Ramesh) who dreams big to become a commissioner. Situations provoke him to become a target for all the troubles that happen around him. Later he is sent as an undercover cop to a college. His duty is to bust the terrorist who are stealing the chemicals from that college to prepare bombs. How he comes out of the trouble and reaches his aim forms the rest of the plot told in a hilarious manner.

The movie is a contemporary take on the life of a couple and their journey through time and how they have to fight the eternal battle of good over evil and how they win with support from a set of dear friends. The protagonist of the film is Sawanth (acted by Ramesh Aravind), a radio jockey. His wife is a teacher and a social worker. On returning from a three week foreign trip, he is shocked to discover that his wife and her co-worker had died in an accident. Sawanth cannot convince himself this is merely an accident and commences an investigation. It is one of the most critically acclaimed films of the decade in Kannada cinema.
