Synopsis
Sreedharan (Mammootty) is struggling after the death of his father. He has an unmarried sister, Ammini, who was pregnant with her boyfriend's child six years ago. His younger brother Kunjunni (Rahman) is in college but gets bullied by his classmates. He gets help from the girl Aswathy to fight against them. Meanwhile, Ammini is visited by her lover, Krishnanunny (Mohanlal), who is suspected of having murdered Sreedharan's father, but there is no direct evidence. There, Krishnanunny sees his own young son.Acteurs

Peter (Mohanlal) is a fun loving person and his younger brother (Rahman) is college going youth. Things go head over heels for Peter as he falls in love with Devi (Radhika), a person who he is related to. But her brother (Soman) plans to get her married to Jayakumar (Sreenath), who is a friend of Peter. Devi gets married to Jayakumar. One day, Jayakumar dies in an accident, but Devi plans to live her life as Jayakumar's widow without knowing Peter's love for her. Karunan (Mammootty) an arrogant fisherman is back from jail after 5 years. Upon arriving back at his coastal village, he finds much change in the scenario. Chandran (Rahman), his trusted Lieutenant, who is more like a younger brother is now a worker at the nearby toddy shop. Chandran again joins him and helps Karunan in setting up his life. Karunan is shocked to see that Madhavi(Menaka), whom he loved once is now married to Kumaran (Vincent), for whom he had to go to jail. Kumaran ditched Karunan and within a short time, he himself has emerged as a rich man in the locality. Karunan decides to avenge Kumaran, but is attacked severely at night by his goons. Karunan is saved by Gopi (Mohanlal), a jobless youngman who accidentally witnesses the incident. Gopi becomes a good friend of Karunan and started staying with him and Chandran. In the meantime Devayani (Seema) a young woman also joins them due to unaccepted situations. The unpleasant incidents that happening in each of their life and Karunan's fight against Kumaran forms the rest of the story.

Having killed a man while driving drunk, Raveendran is imprisoned and learns from his cellmate, Krishnan, that he is the son of Sankara Narayanan Thampi, a member of the Thampi family, and rightful heir to the family fortune. His adoptive mother, Subhadramma Thankachi, wrecks the Thampi family by exchanging Raveendran with her own son, Sukumaran, so that he could claim the family fortune. Raveendran gets revenge against his adopted mother, with the help of his new girlfriend, Sridevi. He plans to destroy her. Sukumaran returns as the teenage son of a rich man and heir to the wealth. Subhadramma realises her mistakes and tries to win Raveendran's forgiveness, but she is kidnapped by Rajendran and his gang. Raveendran and Sukumaran fight her enemies. Subhadramma dies trying to save her son's life, and is forgiven by Raveendran and Sukumaran for what she did.
