Synopsis
Sudhi (Mohanlal) is a poor auto-rickshaw driver who meets Meenakshi(Rekha), granddaughter of a well to do family. Sudhi and Meenakshi fall in love but face strong opposition from her family; their only support being her grand father, Krishna Pillai (Thikkurisi Sukumaran Nair).Acteurs

The story is a family drama and the conflict between two brothers who share the legacy of Ezhuthupura, a newspaper company owned by family. The plot revolves around the early days of the Communist Party in Kerala. Three Comrades, Nettoor Stephen (Mohanlal), T.K. Story revolves around two friends Narayanan Kutty (Mohanlal) and Balan (Shankar Panicker). Working as a mechanic at K&K Automobiles in Chennai, Narayanan Kutty is always lusty towards girls. Though he has never been successful in wooing any girl, Narayan Kutty finds fun in boasting about his encounters with rich girls in and around the city. Manoharan (Jagathy Sreekumar), the proprietor of K&K Automobiles always falls in deep trouble because of the careless attitude of Narayan Kutty at work place. Balan a close buddy of Mala imposters himself as Mala and contacts Narayanan Kutty. Kutty, who has never seen Mala, starts believing Balan to be original Mala. But as part of a plan to fool him, Mala approaches him as Sujatha, a news reporter to interview him about his relationship with the daughter of M.N Nambiar. In short time, Narayanan Kutty falls in love with Mala, whom he mistakes to be Sujatha (Lizy Priyadarshan). Things get much complicated for him as she also reciprocates in the same manner. On the other hand, the life of Balan was going too smoothly until the parents of his fiancée arrives in the city along with her to see his office. Balan, who is actually an attender at the office had lied to them that he is a manager of the company. To add more trouble, M.N Nambiar decides to marry again, which his daughter objects vehemently, inviting more clashes. How Balan and Narayanan Kutty solve out the troubles and loose the knots that they created, forms the rest of the story.

Ravi Varma(Sreenivasan), Kesava Pillai(M.G Soman), Prabhakara Varma(Karamana Janardhanan Nair) and Rajaraja Varma(Maniyanpilla Raju) seek methods to kill King Udaya Varma Thampuran(Nedumudi Venu) to amass his wealth. Udaya Varma's wife Bhagirathi Thampuratti(Kaviyoor Ponnamma) has fallen into depression after the untimely death of their son Unni. She is locked up at home and looked after by Udaya Varma's daughter Radha(Gautami). Ravi Varma and group fears that Udaya Varma might will his wealth to Radha, being his daughter, who is believed to be born of Thampuran's illicit relationship with his maid. The group is helped by Cheriyachan Thampuran(Thikkurissy), a blind cousin of Thampuran, who also eyes at King's wealth. He advises the Group on the plans to eliminate the King upon condition of sharing the wealth with him. As per his advice Ravi Varma travels to Mumbai in search of a killer. There he meets Jamal(Mammukoya) who helps him.

Mukundan K. Kartha (Mohanlal) is a simple man, with a decent job, whose old college classmate and friend Viswanath (Sreenivasan) comes to meet him.
