Periya Kudumbam (English: Big Family) is a 1995 Tamil drama film, directed by K. S. Ravikumar, starring Prabhu, Kanaka, Vineetha, Manorama, Vijayakumar, Lakshmi, Chandrasekhar, Chithra, Goundamani, Senthil. The film, produced by Ravi Shankar Films and had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was released on 1 September 1995.

Chinnaiya (Sarath Kumar) is a faithful servant in the house of a rich man (Vijayakumar). The rich man is angry with his elder daughter (Sitara), who yearns to mend their relationship. His second daughter, Prabhavathy (Simran Bagga), who arrives from America, falls in love with Chinnaiya but after gaining his trust, accuses him of attempting to rape her. Turns out that she did this to try to unite her sister's family with her father and send Chinnaiya out since it was Chinnaiya's father who killed her mother. So Chinnaiya is kicked out of the house. Meanwhile Muthaiya (also Sarath Kumar), Chinnaiya's father, is released from jail.

Jagannathan, (Sarath Kumar) fondly known as Jaggubhai is an Indian Police Officer with sharp methods. His way of dealing the criminals strikes terror in the underground world. Tough is just an ordinary word to describe this upright, straight forward police officer. Jaggubhai is sent to Australia on an important mission to deal with anti social elements there. In Australia, Jaggubai meets Ilavarasi (Srisha) and they both fall in love with each other. Jaggubai returns to India as a dejected officer, failing in his official duty and in personal life.
