The film features Jayaram in a dual role and Manya in lead roles, with Vadivelu, Ramesh Khanna, Bhanupriya and Kovai Sarala playing supporting roles. The film, produced by V. Santhakumar, had musical score by Sabesh-Murali and was released on 30 August 2002.
Synopsis
The film begins with Annamalai (Jayaram) who is a ghost trying to talk to his son Pasupathy (Jayaram) but nobody has been able to see or hear him since his death. Pasupathy is a taxi driver and he is in love with the lawyer Vaanathi (Manya). Aavudaiyappan (Vadivelu), a con medium, becomes the only one who can hear Annamalai. After being annoyed by Annamalai, Aavudaiyappan finally decides to help him. They meet Pasupathy but Pasupathy seems to hate his deceased father.Acteurs

Mukundan Unni (Jayaram) is a tantrik magician and an exorcist. He is not really keen about his father's tantrik magic skills and is wiling away his time with two dumb cronies in a remote village. There he meets a girl named Malu (Poonam Bajwa), who has no memories about her past but falls pretty easily for the hero after a couple of songs. But they get separated soon after. Some years later, he is called by a wealthy family to exorcise a spirit called Rukku(Muktha George) from their palatial house, Shenoy Mandir. There he comes across Malu again under the name Chandana. He vows to get her back after she fails to recognise him. Mukundan then remembers his father's teachings and starts learning from the ancient thalliyolas passed from generation to generation. He manages to bring Malu (Rukku) to the manthrakallam. Here he finds out about Rukku's past; a girl from a poor background who loved a person from the Shenoy Mandir. When the three brothers in the Shenoy Mandir got to know of the affair, they killed of Rukku's family and burnt Rukku alive. Her lover, horrifyed at the sight, jumped into the flames and committed suicide. Since then Rukku became a vengeful soul and killed two of the three brothers. Mukundan was just about trap Rukku into a wooden doll when the Shenoy family came in, interrupting the pooja and freeing Rukku, who onece more possesses Malu. One night Malu(Rukku) tries to kill the third brother. But she is stopped by Mukundan and is exorcised, freeing her from the world. Without asking for anything in return, Mukundan starts to leave. Just as he was about to leave, the third brother gives Malu to Mukundan.

Le docteur Saravanan, un psychiatre, retourne en Inde voir son ami Sendhil et sa femme Ganga. Beauty consultants Sun and Aki are sent to their company's new branch in Shenzhen to be the branch managers. They discover later that their boss had lied to them and they were actually used by him to explore business opportunities in that region. They go to the disco after work and meet a strange man called Mr Cheng. Cheng requests their services for his wife, saying that it is inconvenient for her to travel to their centre. Sun takes up the offer and follows Cheng home because she is attracted by his wealth. However, she is shocked to discover that the Cheng couple are actually ghosts and she flees in horror. The Chengs are unhappy with Sun for discontinuing her service, because she had already accepted their "payment". They threaten Sun to fulfil her promise or they will turn nasty. Meanwhile, the Lai brothers unknowingly opened a disco during the Hungry Ghost Festival and now they have attracted a large number of phantom patrons. Sun and the Lais seek help from Mrs Bud Lung, an expert ghostbuster, to deal with the spiritual beings.

Ms Liu, a compulsive gambler, meets Mrs Bud Lung's son, Bud Pit, on a cruise ship. Chow Ka-ho's father runs a big business in Thailand. Lik and his sister May work for the Chows. One day, Chow Ka-ho is overcome by lust and he rapes and kills May. He buries her body secretly and flees back to Hong Kong. Chow's friends—Bud Yan and his cousin Bud Gay, and the Lai brothers—go on a trip to Thailand. They hire Hok as their tour guide and Bud Yan has a one-night stand with her, but she becomes his permanent girlfriend later. One day while playing at the beach, their boat capsizes and Bud Gay almost drowns. He meets the ghost of May in his subconscious state and she gives him a gold chain, with her spirit attached to it. May follows Bud Gay back to Hong Kong and seeks revenge on Chow. Chow is afraid and seeks help from Bud Gay's mother, the expert ghostbuster Mrs Bud Lung. Chow lies that he had killed May unintentionally and feels guilty about it, but the truth is eventually revealed and Chow gets his just deserts.
