Saumitra (Kaushik Sen), a brilliant artist (Painter and sculptor), visits Khajuraho to draw inspiration and meets Churni (Churni Ganguly) there through a common friend (Tota) who is an artiste too. Love blossoms between them in Kolkata and though their family and economic standards are poles apart, they decide to marry. Churni breaks away from her rich, blue blood family. On the marriage night Kaushik, to his shock, discovers that Churni is flat-chested. The shock develops into sense of being cheated, anger and finally hatred. Churni first tries to reason and pleads helplessness but after suffering Saumitra beyond a point she seeks divorce. The movie ends with a twist on a day years after their split. But you are better advised to watch it.

Calcutta, 1902. Le vice-roi britannique déclenche des vagues de protestations en annonçant la partition du Bengale. Rajlakshmi (Lily Chakravarty) est la mère d'une famille bourgeoise bengalie. Les deux hommes refusent. Mahendra se marie avec Ashalata (Raima Sen), que Behari convoitait également, tandis que Binodini se retrouve veuve seulement un an après son mariage. Mahendra, très épris, passe le plus clair de son temps enfermé avec sa femme et commence à délaisser ses études, ce que sa mère voit évidemment d'un mauvais œil. Elle n'apprécie pas vraiment l'épouse de son fils et lui reproche de l'avoir rendu docile et paresseux, allant jusqu'à l'insulter de sorcière.

The story is based on the concept of karma and bad deeds. Viren Sahai (Amitabh Bachchan), is an underworld don who rules over India. His son Abhir (Sushant Singh) is spoilt and believes he can do anything due to his father's power. When Viren's enemy Khan (Kader Khan) attacks Abhir, Viren demands revenge. Viren receives full proof information that Khan will be hidden at an local cinema theater on an particular date. The plot then moves onto the life of a simple cook, Shekhar Bhatia (Akshay Kumar) who is married to Dr. Kavita (Bhumika Chawla). Shekhar lives with his parents, wife and his younger brother Aryan (Aryeman Ramsay). When Aryan runs away from home, Shekhar searches the whole city to find him. During his search, he witnesses Viren attacking the cinema theater in which Khan is hidden, and decides to help the innocent people in the cinema.

New York begins in the United States in 2008, with the arrest by the FBI of Omar Aijaz (Neil Nitin Mukesh) after guns were found in the trunk of a taxi cab he owned. Omar, a young Muslim man originally from Delhi, is then taken into custody and interrogated by FBI Agent Roshan (Irrfan Khan) (also a Muslim man originally from South Asia who has been living in the United States for twenty years). Omar then discovers that he was set up by the FBI in order to force him to spy on a former college friend, Samir Shaikh (John Abraham), whom he hasn't seen in seven years and who the FBI believes is a terrorist. In the process, Omar discovers that Sam has married Maya (Katrina Kaif) (a mutual friend whom Omar had a crush on in university) and finds out that Samir and Maya have a young son, Danyal (Aidan Wagner).
