A Sister to Assist 'Er is a 1948 British comedy film directed by George Dewhurst and starring Muriel Aked, Muriel George and Michael Howard. It was based on the play A Sister to Assist 'Er by John le Breton.

Captain Fairweather has deposit money with the banker Gideon Bloodgood. After learning that Bloodgood's bank is shaky, Fariweath tries to retrieve the money and dies in an argument with the banker. Bloodgood keeps the money but his clerk, Badger, finds out about it. Years later he blackmails his old boss with proof of the murder.

Joe becomes head of his agency, but because he neglects his new wife, she becomes the mistress of another man. He attempts suicide, but Sarah rescues him and nurses him back to health.
