Synopsis
Stoev est un architecte talentueux qui a toutes les chances de remporter un appel à projets pour un futur chantier qui aura lieu à Rio de Janeiro. Mais pour partir là-bas, il doit abandonner l'un de ses amis et collègues. Alors qu'il est torturé entre dilemme, compromis et mauvaise conscience, voilà qu'un cadavre surgit dans sa vie.Acteurs

The driving instructor Yakim Donev (Danailov) just divorced his wife leaving her all his modest assets. For giving the assets he is blamed by his uncle (Todev) every time when Donev visited him. The film tells the story of an elite Bulgarian school where the sons and daughters of high-ranking Communist officials are educated. The main characters are Ivan, his best friend Rostislav, Dana (a newly arrived student), Marina and Kostov. All of them find themselves dealing with their own youthful intrigues against the backdrop of the absurd and oppressive Bulgarian Communist regime; and all too often each one of them finds his/her own individual means of escaping from it all, either through friendship, love, or the occasional derisive remark. The plot is loosely based on the English Language School in Lovech, Bulgaria, where the principal was an ardent Communist infamous for his absurdly strict rules and for setting an army-like atmosphere. At the same time that students are subjected to the bureaucratic babble of their despotic teachers, they are likewise exposed to the exquisite, thought-provoking language of Shakespeare, and the incendiary tunes of The Beatles, for which they are reproached on numerous occasions. The reality of authoritarian rule in Communist Bulgaria, the hollowness of its slogans, and the total disregard for the true values and qualities of the students—it is all beautifully interspersed with moments of genuine loyalty, love, nobility and devotion.

Vanya, Velko, Filip, Pavel and Gosho establish a band with a lead singer, Vanya (who is the girlfriend of Filip). They hope to make it to one of the big seaside resorts during the holiday season, as a part of their road to fame and success. For the trip they need HiFi equipment and good friends, high enough to arrange them a prestigious place to play. The beginning is optimistic but it soon becomes clear that everything comes at its price. The director of the House of Culture, where they normally rehears, can provide them with everything they need, but with two conditions. First he wants them to play songs with political charge, something they have always refused to do, just for the sheer principle; second he forces them to change their talented singer and friend Vanya with his beautiful favorite, Reni, who is a mediocre singer. They arrive at the seaside hotel, where they are supposed to perform, with Reni instead of Vanya. Here they realize that their "protector" is everything but influential and he has cheated them. So, without a place to perform and without even a place to sleep, they decide to chance their fortune, traveling along the seacoast and performing wherever they can. Finally they end up in a small bar at the beach.

Born in the small village of Yugla, Yordan (Gets) lives with his family in the nearby town. Filled with homesickness he takes every opportunity, traveling usually by his bicycle, to visit the more and more depopulated village. Madison Penrose's sweet sixteen is coming up. She wants to have her birthday party at the Roller Dome, a once popular roller skating rink with a violent history to match. She and her parents go so far as to hire a party planner (Chad McKnight). A few days before the party, while alone in the Roller Dome, he hears a strange noise and asks if anybody is there. The scene then flashes back to 1999, where Charlie Rotter (Alex Van) is the owner and entertainer of the Roller Dome. (He is known as "Lord of the Rink.") One day, he is humiliated by an ungrateful teenage boy named Craig (Damien Haas), who slaps the cake out of Rotter's hands and rips his mask off in front of everybody, including his six-year-old daughter, Skye (Lauren Eichner).
