Amman Arul is a 1973 Tamil film produced by P.L.Palaniappan Chettiar and directed by Pattu. The film is based on the powers of goddess Parvati. Parvathi is known in Tamil language as Amman and hence the film's name Amman Arul. Starring A.V.M. Rajan in the lead, the film was produced by Chettiar in the name of his son Seetharaman Palaniappan. Its music was composed by Sankhar Ganesh.

Synopsis

A.V.M.Rajan is the chief priest of a temple of Parvathi. The temple's financial records were forged. Its chief priest protests the fraud and refuses to accept the terms of the town's financial baron (pannaiyar) played by veteran actor Ashokan.
