The film, produced by P. S. Veerappa, had musical score by Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy and was released on 28 June 1963. The film was average at box-office and ran for 70 days. It was the only film of Devika with M.G.R.

But he was agree the wedding and started avoiding her. But Meena was falls love with sekhar. Adopted brother Mohan(R. Muthuraman and a friend Nithyanandham(T. R. Ramachandran try to help of meena holding hand of Sekahar. Sekhar was impressed to her and loves with each other. Meena and Sekhar wedding is arranged. But, during the ceremony another man Gopal(R. S. Manohar) shows up claims to meena to be his wife and she's named as Sumathi. Gopal kept at the evidence for their wedding photo and witness of her father Somasundaram(V. S. Raghavan).
