Kumar (Dharmendra) is interested in boxing but her mother Janki (Nirupa Roy) doesn't like him to be a boxer. He falls in love with his neighbour, Mala (Reena Roy) detective by profession. They were soon to marry. The story moves forward by Mala finding out that G.D. (Amrish Puri) who runs a gym where he trains boxers and only wants his trainee to win boxing championship, he does lots of illegal activities and tries to find out proof against him so that he can be jailed. The story takes turn when Janki gets a call from menal hospital that Ganga has completely recovered and can be discharged from the hospital. She shares her agony with her husband and tells him that it would be impossible to give back her son to his biological mother Ganga. Overhearing this conversation, Kumar is shattered. But when Ganga meets his son for the first time, she doesn't reveal him truth herself realising that Janki is heart patient and would die without Kumar and soon moves to Haridwar. Kumar goes to Haridwar to find her and brings her back and give her a house to stay. He doesn't reveal Janki about their association. Soon he comes to know that his biological father, Ajay (Dara Singh) was a boxing champion and was killed by G.D. Kumar decides to take revenge by winning boxing championship against those killers and he finally succeeds. But, seeing murder of her husband murderers, Ganga again loses her mental balance and dies on the spot. Kumar comes back home and break the news in front his parents that Ganga is dead but still doesn't confess that he knows the truth. The story ends with family remembering Ganga.

The film focuses on the caste and feudal system in Rajasthan. Ranjit Singh is the son of a peasant living in a village which is dominated by a rich landlord family. As a teenager studying in the village school, Ranjit is rebellious and defiant. He is bullied by the two sons of the landlord, who are of his own age. Naseeb, a story of destiny and fate, begins with a lottery ticket. A drunk who cannot pay his tab trades: so he decides to sell his ticket to the waiter, Namdev (Pran), instead. Namdev purchases this ticket with his three friends Damu (Amjad Khan), Raghu (Kader Khan) and Jaggi (Jagdish Raj). Using a system of drawing out the highest card to decide who keeps the ticket, Jaggi wins, and the ticket stays with him. When the ticket turns out to be a winner, Damu and Raghu turn on the other two, murdering Jaggi and framing Namdev. Namdev goes on the run but Raghu and Damu intervene and throw him over a bridge into a river and Namdev is presumed dead.

Kamini (Reena Roy) abandons Anil Mehra (Jeetendra) and their baby son Prakash for her own selfish reasons. A few years later, Anil falls in love with Radhika (Sulakshana Pandit) and marries her. Radhika treats Prakash as her own son, who is now a six-year-old. Radhika meets Kamini in a store and they become friends, not knowing about each other histories. Soon, Kamini realizes that Radhika is Anil's second wife and her own son's stepmother. She longs to be with Prakash and be a mother to him again. When he has an accident, she donates her own blood to save him and in the process, leaves behind her selfish nature. In the end, Anil doesn't give her the second chance to be a mother to Prakash. Heartbroken, she says goodbye to her son as he leaves with Anil and Radhika.
