Battle of Greed is a 1937 American western film directed by Howard Higgin and starring Tom Keene, Gwynne Shipman and James Bush. A silver strike in Virginia City leads to cutthroat completion to exploit the dsicovery.

The film's sets were designed by the art director Edward C. Jewell.

Le garde forestier Tom Corbin surveille le chantier de coupe de bois de la McFarland and lumber company. Il découvre que le contremaitre Bart Williams falsifie à son profit les rapports pour le gouvernement. L'assistant de Williams, le géant Bull Riley, soupçonnant que Tom a tout découvert, lui donne une sévère correction lors d'un combat inégal. Tom fait alors son rapport et le gouvernement envoie l'inspecteur Joe Hanlon qui est assassiné dès son arrivée.

In the 1920s three U.S. Marines who have deserted return to their base in Tientsin, China; one is dead, one is insane and one is court martialed. On the witness stand he relates their story from the end of World War I. Following the Armistice with Germany Pvt Calhoun temporarily frees a German Prisoner of War named Schmidt to go drinking with him. In the bar another Marine, Pvt Hanlon refuses to drink with a German; their brawl escalates into a fight with the Military Police where the three become friends. The German eventually migrates to the United States where he enlists in the Marines.
