Munna est tombé amoureux de Jhanvi, une animatrice de radio dont il ne connaît que la voix. Pour célébrer l'anniversaire de la naissance du Mahatma Gandhi, Jhanvi organise un concours dont le premier prix sera de participer à son émission dans les studios de la radio. Munna ne peut pas laisser passer une aussi belle occasion de rencontrer enfin Jhanvi. Le sujet du concours porte sur la vie de Gandhi. Munna n'a qu'une vague idée de qui il s'agit, mais ce n'est pas un problème : il fait kidnapper les plus grands spécialistes de Mumbai pour répondre à sa place aux questions... Et il gagne ! Emporté par l'enthousiasme lorsqu'il rencontre Jhanvi, il se présente en tant que professeur d'histoire, grand connaisseur de la vie de Gandhi. Et quand Jhanvi lui propose d'animer une conférence, il accepte avant de réaliser qu'il n'aura que cinq jours pour maîtriser son sujet. Il se précipite alors vers la première bibliothèque qu'il trouve et se plonge dans les livres. Quelques nuits blanches plus tard, Gandhi lui apparaît. Le médecin qu'il consulte a du mal à se prononcer, mais finalement Munna s'accommode de cette présence qu'il est le seul à distinguer. Et Munna, désormais accompagné par le Mahatma Gandhi, donne la conférence pour laquelle il s'était engagé, puis devient coprésentateur de l'émission de Jhanvi. Les conseils qu'il promulgue, dictés par Gandhi, font le bonheur des auditeurs. Cependant, Gandhi devient exigeant. Shankar Dada (Chiranjeevi) is a local goon and ATM (Any Time Murder) (Srikanth) is like his brother. Shankar is in love with Jahnavi (Karishma Kotak) who works at a radio station. She also owns the second innings house. The only problem is that she does not know that Shankar is a goon and believes that he is a professor. When Rajalingam (Sayaji Shinde) takes the second innings house, Jahnavi, Shankar and the residents of the second innings decide to camp in front of his house. The movie begins with three friends Sameer (Shreyas Talpade), Ravi (Abhiram Bhadkamkar) and Bharat (Bharat Jadhav) who arrive in a Osadwadi, a small village. They are working in a bank and have been transferred to this village branch. Any new transferees that arrive are routinely made to stay in a wada, till they find alternate arrangements. The wada was incidentally mortgaged to the bank and hence any new transferees that arrive are routinely made to stay in this wada till they can find alternate arrangements. The Film begins with a Car approaching in Night. Tatya Vinchu (Dilip Prabhavalkar) a famous gangster and his henchman kubdya Khavis enters the cave of Baba chamtkar (Raghvendra Kadkol) in search for mrutunjay mantra, a voodoo spell which can transfer the soul of the chanter to any living or nonliving object. Tatya threatens Baba Chamatkar for his mantra. Baba, out of fear, gives it to him. CID Inspector Mahesh Jadhav (Mahesh Kothare), who is trying to arrest Tatya raids his warehouse. Mahesh finds Tatya, and gives chase until Tatya hides in a post office. There, they fight and Tatya gets hit by a fatal gunshot. He uses the mantra to transfer his soul into the body of a ventriloquist's doll lying nearby. Meanwhile Kubdya Khavis is captured and taken into custody. The police believes that Tatya is dead.

Set in 1946 in a village in Konkan, the movie starts off with a middle aged villager, Naroba (Dilip Prabhavalkar), watering his coconut trees in his grove with his grandson. The landlord of the village, Rangarao Khot (Manoj Joshi) is a flirtatious man and the antagonist. One day he halts his palanquin and gets off to follow a woman passing by, only to discover that she is a transsexual man. Shocked and embarrassed, he walks to a nearby coconut grove, and becomes bedazzled by its beauty; he instructs his servant to prepare the grove for a tamasha to be held that night. Naroba, had been working nearby approaches the landlord and declines giving up the grove which it was given to him by his father who had received it from the landlord's father himself for saving his father's life during a hunting trip. In a fit of rage, the landlord threatens Naroba to kill him in order to sign the contract transferring the ownership of the grove from Naroba to him. That night, as the landlord's crooks try to enter his house, he is saved by a gang of armed dacoits; their leader later recognizes Naroba to be the person who nursed him when he was sick and starving. He swears to protect him from the landlord's actions, and warns the landlord to stay away from Naroba or face humiliation in front of the entire village. Horrified and abashed, the landlord staggers to his bedroom and locks himself in. He is found dead the next morning due to alcohol overdose.
