Thomas, directed by Johny Antony, and co-produced by and starring Dileep in the title role. The film also stars Harisree Ashokan, Cochin Haneefa, Jagathy Sreekumar, Bhavana, Oduvil Unnikrishnan, Saleem Kumar, and Ashish Vidyarthi. The film is a parody of the spy genre such as the James Bond series and C.I.D. Nazeer. It is considered as one of the most popular and most loved movie of Dileep's career .
It was remade in Tamil as Seena Thaana 001, in Kannada as CID Eesha and in Telugu as Ramachari - Eedo Pedda Goodachari. The same team are planning to make the sequel of this film. The name they have announced is CID Moosa From Scotland. This movie has been put on hold for the time being.
Synopsis
The movie starts with Khaled Muhammad aka Baba(Sharat Saxena) in jail telling one of his henchmen to kill the kerala chief minister Ravi Menon(Murali).Sahadevan(Dileep) is the son of a police constable(Oduvil Unnikrishnan) who works in the dog squad. Sahadevan has only one ambition and that is to join the police department and for that he has cleared the exams and is waiting for the physical test. But he has an enemy, his own brother-in-law Peethambaran(Jagathy Sreekumar) who does not like him.Some of Baba's henchmen with the help of commissioner Gauri shankar(Ashish Vidyarthi) plan to kill the CM by placing a bomb in his room in the hospital when Ravi Menon was unwell.However Sahadevan foils the plan as his dog Arjun sacrifices himself. The blame is put on him by the police commissioner but he is saved by the DGP(Vijayaraghavan). Because the commissioner is aware of Sahadevan's knowings about the bomb plan,he along with Peethambaran deliberately fails him in the physical test. When he finds out who the crooks are, he tries to find a way to foil it and that hope was to become a private detective via his uncle Karamchand(Captain Raju). He becomes a private detective and calls himself CID Moosa,Shortform of Moolamkushiyil Sahadevan. He has a funky car that do different tricks to assist him in evading his enemies. During all of this he falls in love with a girl named Meena (Bhavana).After innumerable attempts,he makes her fall in love with him.Meanwhile,he managed to intercept the first terrorists who planned to place the bomb in the hospital. Gauri in anger destroys Moosa's office saying it doesn't have license.When Moosa goes to the CM for a petition,the CM's car explodes.Moosa is applauded for saving him.Then he kills the second terrorist and gets a Rs.5 lakhs as a reward. Meena then told Moosa that those terrorists were sharing tenants in her house and filed a case to the commissioner not realising that she would be arrested as soon as she reached her flat.the commissioner tries to molest Meena but Moosa intervenes to save her.Later Gauri forces the CM to issue a warrant against Moosa which he reluctantly accepts.On the way home,Ravi Menon sees Baba on the road(he gets released from jail).Moosa meets the CM to prove his innocence but Baba enters to assault the CM and shoots him in his arm.Moosa takes the CM to safety in his cars and uses the different tricks and devices in his car to evade the police.Then he gets intercepted by Gauri and Baba but kills them using his wits and a little help from his dog.The CM is saved and now Moosa is sent to Scotland to solve bigger cases.Acteurs

The film, set at City Centre, a shopping mall in Kochi as backdrop, is all about a few youngsters, Roy and Sanju and their love interests, Annie and Meenakshy. Samson (Mammootty) and Mallika (Charmy Kaur) have just been released from prison. Samson is a small time thief to whom prison is a "second home" while Mallika went to prison for murdering someone to save her husband from being killed. Samson falls in love with the girl at first sight. He decides to accompany her on the journey back home, but during the entire journey, Mallika is absolutely quiet and refuses to utter a word to him. She seems depressed and lonely. Shocking things await her when she reaches her home in Karippa to meet her husband Manikuttan/Kannukuttan (Murali Gopy). Kannukuttan was having an affair with their neighbour's wife, and it was the jealous husband who had wanted to kill Kannukuttan. Mallika gives quotation to Samson for killing Kannukuttan. Samson, after some brilliant plots and a fight sequence, defeats Kannukuttan, but never killed him. Later he tells Mallika that he doesn't want to go back to prison again for killing him, because he fell in love with Mallika and he want to live a new life with her. Mallika, realising Samson's love for the first time, agrees and goes with him in the end.

The story takes place in a remote village where the majority of the people are Christians. Solomon (Dileep), the son of GeeVarghese sexton (Vijayaraghavan), a simple soul who is quiet in nature and fears virtually everything around, thus earning the nickname Kunjaadu (little lamb). His mother, Mary (Vinaya Prasad),was Ittichan's (Innocent) (a rich landlord) crush. He named his daughter Mary (Bhavana) after Solomon's mother. He wanted Solomon to love his daughter dearly and then he would marry her to some other person so that he gets to know the pain that he felt when he lost his lover. He promises the church that he will give another cross made out of gold to the church if Solomon marries some other girl but if he wants to marry his daughter then Solomon must give a cross to church. Mary (Bhavana) has been in love with Solomon right from their childhood days. Meanwhile, a man (Biju Menon) with rugged looks comes to Solomon's house and Solomon, who is overjoyed at getting some fearless company, gets the man accepted by his whole family under the guise that he is his long-lost brother Jose. He does so much for the family and gets involved in agriculture and develops the families living. Later, Solomon finds that there is more to his so-called brother than he thought initially,where he has killed a girl and was imprisoned for 7 years. Finally he finds that Jose has stolen the cross and hid it in Solomon's land 7 years ago and came again to take it. Solomon warns his family that even if is their brother, he should be watched or else he'll burn down the house. Their parents don't take it seriouly but later when the family is away, Jose burns the house down and everyone thinks it is Solomon who did it. Solomon later finds out that Jose's old friend who also wants the golden cross was the one who killed the girl, who was Jose's wife. A fight occurs between Solomon and both the thieves. Jose's friend get smashed down and rings the church bell telling that he got cross and saves Jose by telling that he was the one who help him capture the thief, and because Solomon always considered him as a brother. everyone becomes happy and Ittichan gives his daughter's hand to Solomon.

The film begins in the childhood of Babumon and Babulal Chatterji and their mischievous behavior. Then it progresses in to a grown up version of both. They run into some troubles with Monayi and Varki who are the brother and father of Angel, Babu's love interest, and their right hand Manikandan.
