Innocent Vareed Thekkethala (born 28 February 1945), popularly known as Innocent, is an Indian film actor and producer. He was born in Irinjalakuda in Thrissur district of Kerala, India. He is one of the most successful and leading comedy actors of Malayalam cinema. He is noted for his witty mannerisms and dialogue delivery in the typical Thrissur accent.
In 2013, Innocent was hospitalized for throat cancer, and it has been confirmed he suffers from lymphoma, a type of cancer of lymphocytes. But sources close to him insisted there is no room for worry as the cancer was in its early stage and could be treated. He survived cancer. Innocent is contesting the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Chalakudy Lok Sabha constituency in Thrissur district as an independent candidate supported by the Left Democratic Front.

A tailor falls in love with the girl next door, Sumathi. But her father, a log breaker, decides to marry her off to an NRI. In California, the Republican party governor candidate John Kory (Sean James Sutton) is striving to raise his dismal ratings. Sunny Kurishingal (Vijay Babu), the chief campaign officer of John Kory, is failing with his campaign strategies and runs out of ideas to ensure Kory's victory. Sunny is forced to consult a third person's advise and calls Francis Kunjappan (Mukesh), a PWD minister and his native friend in Kerala, for hiring any good political consultant for devising campaign strategies. Kunjappan, initially reluctant, later recommends his friend and political competitor Jagannathan (Mohanlal), thus also hoping to get rid of him as he is a political threat to his ministerial position. Jagannathan, a young politician and a sports enthusiastic, is illiterate in English but has an inborn talent to solve the gravest of issues in the most prudent manner. Even Francis had consulted him for solving his toughest problems. But Francis thinks that Jaganathan’s unorthodox ideas will fail miserably in the US. Kunjappan meets Jagannathan and offers him the job and a remuneration of ₹30 crores which is sufficient to raise Jagannathan's dream project, a sports academy in Kerala. Jagannathan takes up the assignment and flies to the US, together with his assistants Pottakuzhi Jabbar (Baburaj) and Vayalar Varkey (Aju Varghese).

Mannar Mathai (Innocent) is now running a travel agency Urvashi Tours & Travels,his partners in this agency are his old mates Gopalakrishnan (Mukesh) and Balakrishnan (Saikumar). Their drama group which was started in 1989, is celebrating its 25th anniversary and Manaar Mathai wants to perform a drama on this occasion. But Gopalakrishnan & Balakrishnan are not ready for this because their previous attempts in drama led them to nothing but problems. When they need a driver for their agency, they give an Ad in the news paper. But Mathayi also gives an extra Ad which says "Heroine required" which leads Nithya to reach their agency. Entry of the old villan Mahendra Varma (Biju Menon) complicates the setting. Rest of the movie is the fight between Mahendra Varma, Hareendra Varma & Ramji Rao (Ramji Rao has given up his wicked ways and has converted to a Christian, becoming a well-known pastor called Kunjumon, meaning "little boy" in Malayalam and is later revealed to be Nithya's father).

The film begins in the childhood of Babumon and Babulal Chatterji and their mischievous behavior. Then it progresses in to a grown up version of both. Anjali (Keerthi Suresh), has a recent shocking history of her twin sister Geetha (Keerthi Suresh) committing suicide. She is already betrothed to Anoop (Nishan) from a prominent family.
