Chinnari Papalu (Telugu: చిన్నారి పాపలు) is a 1968 Telugu Drama film directed and produced by Mahanati Savitri. It was remade into Tamil language subsequently.

The film has set record in Telugu cinema field to have many women in the crew i.e. Savitri as main director, singer P. Leela as the music director and Papa as Art director and Veeramachaneni Sarojini as writer and production executive. Rajasulochana was the choreographer.

Kotayya (Perumallu) is an honest poor farmer who has a son Venu (Nageshwara Rao) and daughter Bharathi (Ammaji). Sagarayya (C.S.R) is the landlord in the village who gives loans for high interest and when the farmers fail to pay the grabs their lands. With the help Karanam Sambayya (Ramana Reddy) and Rowdy Polayya (Relangi) Sagarayya grabs the lands in the false names. Retired military man Ratnam (Seetaram) and his daughter Radha (Janaki) also lives in the same village. After an initial misunderstanding with Venu, Radha falls in love with him and marries him. Venu tells all about Sagarayya in front of the collector and distributes the land to the real owners. How Sagarayya creates differences between Kotayya and Venu, and how Venu solves his problems and arrange his sister's marriage with Gopalam (Vallam Narasimha Rao) and sends Sagarayya and his men to jail is the rest of the story.

Venkat Ramaiah (SV Rangarao) and Kanaka Durga (Suryakantham) adopted Suguna (Savithri). When they have their own child Varalakshmi, Kanaka Durga's affection towards Suguna diminishes. Vengalappa (Relangi) adopts suguna. She becomes a doctor and loves Chandram (ANR). Chandram develops Tuberculosis and forces Suguna to marry doctor Raghunath (Jaggayya). Dr. Raghunath expires in an accident. Chandram is cured of TB and returns. Suguna decides to dedicate her life to social work. She convinces Chandram to marry Varalakshmi. Kanaka Durga creates problems in the relations. Suguna corrects them.

Raghava Rao (N. T. Rama Rao) is a teacher in a government primary school. His wife is Janaki (Anjali Devi). Papa Rao (Nagabhushanam) is the school proprietor. The teacher lives with commitment to basic values of life. He has two sons Satyam (Rama Krishna) and Venu (Krishnam Raju) and a daughter (T. Padmini). The school children built a house for their teacher with love and affection. After retirement, the parents had to live with their parents. The children sells the house against their wishes. They separate their father and mother and takes care of them by rotation. They wanted to live together. Ramu (Jaggayya) is his student and becomes a police officer. Changayya (Subba Rao) is a wealthy Sowkar (businessman) whose son Satyam (N.T. Rama Rao) is studying in the city. His neighbour is Ramayya (Srivatsa). Changayya is affectionate towards his daughter Subbulu (Janaki) and wants to make her his daughter-in-law. Satyam also likes this idea. But due to some conflict in the village courtesy Bangarayya, Ramayya provides the police witness against Changayya citing his hand present in the messy affair. The two families are thereafter estranged. They start off with petty fights, getting worse every day culminating with Satyam and Ramayya's son Narayana (Sivaram) ending up in jail after being framed. The local goonda Sunnapu Rangadu (S.V. Ranga Rao) plans to rob Changayya's place, but his plans are spoiled by Subbulu and Ramayya. Both the families end their differences, and become friendly once again. At the end, Satyam and Subbulu marry and live happily.
