The film marks the debut of Ram charan, son of the popular Telugu actor Chiranjeevi, in the lead role. Delhi-based model Neha Sharma plays the female lead with Ashish Vidyarthi, Prakash Raj and Brahmanandam playing supporting roles. The film revolves around Cherry, who searches for Mattubhai who murders his father during his childhood. In the process, he falls in love with Sanjana and also finds his mother. The rest of the plot shows how Cherry avenges his father's death.
Chirutha was produced by Ashwini Jain under the banner Vyjayanthi Movies. The film features a soundtrack by Mani Sharma, cinematography by Shyam K. Naidu and editing by Saibaba. Its filming began in 2007 and was shot extensively around Thailand. Chirutha was released worldwide on 28 September 2007. The film was dubbed into Tamil as Siruthai Puli. On 14 September 2012 the movie was released in the Malayalam dubbed version named Cheetah. It was remade in Bengali as Rangbaaz with Dev and Koel Mallick in the lead.It was later dubbed in hindi under the same name by Goldmines Telefilms
Synopsis
An auto driver, sees Mattu Bhai (Ashish Vidyarthi) murder a journalist. The auto driver manages to capture Mattu Bhai & his henchman, and hold them until the Police arrive. Afterwards, the auto driver returns home to his wife and son, Charan. Unfortunately, Mattu Bhai & his henchmen break into their house that night. The auto driver is killed and his wife is severely injured. Charan survives uninjured. Charan's mother is in a critical condition but he & his uncle don't have enough money to pay for her operation. The local mafia leader's son has committed murder and offers Charan a deal. In order to pay for his mother's surgery, Cherry has to go to prison the crime.Acteurs

Daya is an orphan who grows up learning that a police's life is a happy one with lots of money coming in the form of bribes which inspires him to become a police officer. After years, he becomes a corrupt, cunning, manipulative and ruthless sub inspector of police. Chanti (Ravi Teja) is the son of a head constable (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Chanti is a guy with carefree attitude. He is beaten by a rival gang at night and was rescued by a beautiful girl Suchitra or Suchi (Rakshitha). She pays his hospital bills and donates her blood. She is gone from the hospital by the time Chanti became conscious. When Chanti's friends tell him who rescued him, he starts loving her immediately for her good-heartedness though he did not see her. Bala Govind (Allu Arjun) is a program director in MAA TV. His fights for justice regularly get him into trouble. During one of these incidents, he saves a person (Raja Ravindra) from goons while severely thrashing Murugan (Subbaraju), son of the notorious smuggler Tambi Durai (Pradeep Rawat). Fearing retribution from Tambi Durai, the MAA TV crew sends Bala's team to Kullu Manali to shoot a travel episode instead of another team. There, Bala sees Vaishali (Hansika Motwani), who is a sannyasin. It is love at first sight for Bala. Vaishali, though initially apprehensive of Bala falls for him. The head sannyasin of the ashram Rama Prabha (Rama Prabha) unites the couple. However, before Bala is able to return to Hyderabad with Vaishali and marry her, Tambi Durai's henchmen kidnap her and take her his home. Bala returns to Hyderabad and finds that she is with Tambi Durai. The person who was saved by Bala reveals that Vaishali is the daughter of Narayan Patwari (Devan). In order to grab Patwari's property, Tambi Durai killed her parents and his wife (Telangana Shakuntala) performed the marriage of Vaishali with Murugan in front of their dead bodies. However, Vaishali escapes and reaches Kulu Manali. Bala takes the help of Inspector Prasad (Ahuti Prasad) to save Vaishali from their clutches and eventually succeeds in his attempt and marries her.

Viraiah's (Tanikella Bharani) younger son is stolen by Chidambaram (Makrand Deshpande), who abducts children and makes them beggars. He names him as Chotu (Prabhas) and makes him beg on streets to earn money for him. The police raid Chidambaram and Chotu helps the police to find him. The police reward Chotu for helping them. This makes Chotu realise that he can earn money by catching criminals for the police. From then on Chotu works for the police and catches hold of criminals whom the police are in search of and becomes as bounty hunter. He also is in touch with Chidambaram and communicates with him so that he can tell him who his parents are, but he never told him. While getting hold of a goon, Chotu comes across Sameera (Kangna Ranaut) who is a guitar teacher. Sameera is the sister of the goon who works for Johnny Bhai (Sonu Sood).
