Idamattom Palackal Easow Panickar and his team find out the truth behind Sr. Amala's murder. The suspects include Fr. Clement Kaliyar and the local legislator Monayi and a hitman - Cardinal Carlos. Jilebi is a sweet story about confrontation between a middle aged village Sreekuttan (Jayasurya) and his city-bred nephews. Sreekuttan, is a village guy whose life is happily confined to his farm and crops. Far away, in the Dubai city, trouble brews for him in the form of his nephew and niece. From the first confrontation it becomes clear that both Sreekuttan and kids are fish out of water, other than their respective backgrounds. The tech-savvy kids are determined to make Sreekuttan's life miserable and others through mischief. Soon there vacation is over and leave their family home with Kuttetan to start schooling in Kodaikanal. The road trip to their new school leads to surprises - some sour, some sweet experiences, for both. Sreekuttan and the kids becomes close. At school they are met with Silpa(Ramya Nambisan) - kids mother, she angrily lambasts Sreekuttan and blames him and his village farming attitude and responsibility for being late for admissions. Sreekuttan puts Silpa in her place for her snobbish attitude and reminds her money doesn't make relationships change its inherent values. Later understanding her mistake Silpa let's her children join in a nearby school to her family house and fly's back from Dubai to Thrissur.

Stephen (Vijayaraghavan) is the circle inspector in charge of the anti-goonda squad but he himself is the head of a gang whose members are Acid (Saji Soman) and Sathan (Prithviraj Sukumaran). Sathan is a murderer and a rapist who is willing to do any crime for money. He meets a girl Angelina (Chandra Lakshman) whom he rapes and later she becomes pregnant. Angelina who was to be a nun is thus expelled from church and later Sathan starts having a soft corner for her. He decides to turn a new leaf in life but Stephen does not agree to his idea. And when Stephen is suspended from the department his anger towards Sathan increases. This leads to a bloody climax on a railway track. The Night of the climax, Saathan meets Angelina at the church, where she is staying. There he reveals he was the one who had raped her. After the revelation he leaves the church. Stephen and the police chase and arrest Sathan. Stephen plans to kill Saathan, after bloody fight, by laying him over the tracks. But Sathan grabs Stephen's leg and the train crushes them both to death. Next day Angelina is shocked at the news of Sathan's death, whom she had started to love.

The filim begins with Major Rajendran (Suresh Krishna) being killed by the Pakistani terrorists in the Indo-Pak border and the war between India and Pakistan begins. Pakistani Army led by General Jaffer Khan (Mukesh Rishi) sends a battalion to capture a village on the Indian side of the Line of Control. Indian Army Brigadier Nayar (Captain Raju) sends the Madras Regiment to recapture the village. Madras Regiment contains Lt.Col Sharath Chandran (Prabhu), Captain Gopinath (Dileep), Major Prabhakar (Saikumar), Captain Kabir (Siddique), Captain Vijayan (Vijayaraghavan), Havildar Kurian (Jagadish), Private Basheer (Kalabhavan Mani), Naik Haneefa, Havildar Prashanthan, Naik Kunjunni (Machan Varghese), Captain Hema (Indraja) and Private Shankar. They recaptured the village after a fierce gun battle that killed all the Pakistani soldiers. Prabhakar and Kunjunni died during this battle. Jaffer Khan was angered by this defeat and hatched a plan to capture the entire Madrasi Regiment alive. He calls Colonel Mushtaq Muhammad, an ISI agent in the Indian Army and pays him 5 crores rupees for capturing the Madras Regiment.
