Subtitled "A Lesson in Courage", it conveys the message that one does not need to be afraid to do what is right. Unlike its predecessors, it does not feature opening and closing countertop scenes. This is also one of the very few episodes without Bob the Tomato.
The story is taken from the Book of Esther in the Old Testament, in which Esther becomes Queen and must tell Ahasuerus, often identified as King Xerxes (as in this retelling), that his prime minister Haman is plotting to commit genocide against the Jews. The violence is removed as this VeggieTales production is intended for children; execution is replaced by banishment to the Island of Perpetual Tickling, and the intended victims are identified only as Esther's "family" without reference to their ethnicity or creed.
The presentation of the story was inspired by The Godfather and Casablanca and has stylistic elements of a film noir. The dramatic lighting, deep shadows, dark plot elements, and narrative voiceovers all contribute to the effect. The palace windows are even hung with Venetian blinds, an iconic element of the genre.
Synopsis
The story opens at a palace in Persia where Haman (played by Mr. Lunt), right-hand-man of the King (Mr. Nezzer), is throwing the Queen out onto the street for insubordination. A search is then initiated to find a new Queen.Acteurs

The episode starts with Bob the Tomato with Larry the Cucumber, who is wearing an oven mitten on his head. When asked why, Larry says that it is because he saw it on the cover of "Veggie Beat" magazine and that everyone is doing it. Unable to see, however, he almost falls into a toaster and he ultimately crashes into the sink. Bob reads a letter from Dexter Wilmington from Tuscaloosa, Alabama about how he has peer pressure problems and is being tempted by his friend "Billy" to watch a show that Dexter is not supposed to watch yet. Bob then introduces the story about three people who had a similar experience.

This episode starts immediately with the counter top, initially skipping the theme song. Larry the Cucumber, thinking this is the very first "VeggieTales workout video", begins a jumping workout in time to generic, upbeat workout music, then proceeds to trampoline exercises. However, after jumping progressively higher, he hits his head on the cupboards... again and again.

Because one of Larry's silly songs, "The Song of the Cebu" was so silly and confusing, Archibald Asparagus has replaced Silly Songs with Larry with "Love Songs with Mr. Lunt." Feeling depressed, he goes down to Jimmy's ice cream parlor to drown his sorrows. While there, Jimmy tries and fails to cheer up Larry by showing him past Silly Songs.

The show opens with Larry the Cucumber driving onto the countertop in a brand-new "Soo-Vee Action Jeep", which causes Bob the Tomato to feel upset. Larry has been waiting for the Action Jeep for a really long time.. Larry goes on to admit that he will not be really happy until he has all the additional vehicles in the Soo-Vee line, and Bob the Tomato decides that this would be a good theme for an episode. "Lord of the Beans" begins with the arrival of Randalf in the Shire for Billboy Baggypants' 122nd birthday party (which he calls his "Twelfety-twoth" birthday, referencing Bilbo's "eleventy-first" birthday in The Fellowship of the Ring). Billboy talks about retiring and leaving the Shire and uses a strange bean to produce a birthday cake. Returning to his home, he finds Randalf waiting in his living room. Randalf remarks on Billboy's impressive height, his fine clothing, and his luxuriously appointed home, knowing they have come from the bean, and warns his friend of using such things lightly. Billboy concedes that the bean has given him almost everything he could want.
