Synopsis
Roshni (Sridevi) is the only child of Sharda Chhadha (Reema Lagoo). Her father, Prakash Chhadha (Anupam Kher), left before she was born and she has no knowledge of where he went. Roshni is introduced to Rahul Malhotra (Rahul Roy) and they share a mutual attraction. When he learns that she is an aspiring singer, he assists in her career so she becomes popular. She has a devoted fan named Jaggannath alias Jaggu (Sanjay Dutt), who is a petty thief. He is in love with her but she rejects him. During a trip she and Rahul had taken to Hong Kong, she is arrested for trafficking cocaine and Rahul disappears. Jaggu brings an attorney, but she is quickly found guilty and sentenced to death. Jaggu visits the prison and runs afoul of two guards, themselves lovers, who beat him in front of Roshni. The attorney works to help them escape. A fight ensues between Roshni and the female guard in which the latter is killed. The warden intervenes and is killed by Jaggu. They escape and return to India. At the airport Prakash is questioned by the police and Roshni learns that he is her father, and that he had fled the country years earlier when he has been wrongfully accused of treason. Later at Rahul's house, Rahul admits that he had been dealing with drugs that resulted in Roshni's arrest. She slaps him for deceiving her and ends their relationship. With Prakash's blessings, Roshni and Jaggu get married.Acteurs

As children, Suraj (Aditya Pancholi) and Amar (Mohsin Khan) have watched their father being brutally beaten by a police inspector. Both grow up and become small time criminals. This leads them to the big gangster Pasha (Paresh Rawal). They part ways because Amar hates gangland activities, especially drugs. Suraj, on the other hand, wants wealth and wants to become rich. Suraj kills Pasha and becomes a big time gang leader. Amar is terrified that Suraj is lost in the world of crime and has forgotten humanity. In the climax of the movie, Sultan Anupam Kher phones Suraj and asks him to kill Amar to which he refuses. Later that day Suraj is chased by the police (Inspector Kotwal had ordered Inspector Khan to do so) and is injured while his bodyguard is killed. Suraj reaches the place where Amar and Suraj used to go and Amar who felt the voice of his friend calling him rushed to the place. Inspector Kotwal reaches there and Amar tells him that Suraj wishes to surrender. Inspector Kotwal reveals that he is actually Sultan, the real gang leader and attempts to kill Suraj. Amar saves Suraj and thinking that he had killed Sultan he returns to Suraj, just then Sultan arrives at the scene and attempts to stab Amar from behind, Suraj seeing him coming towards Amar pushes Amar and is stabbed by Sultan who is finally killed by Amar.

Rahul Roy et Anu Verghese se rencontrent dans un poste de police. Dès lors, sa vie change complètement, elle gagne énormément d’argent, habite un luxueux appartement… Rahul veut l’épouser mais il doit d’abord trouver une situation. Fort heureusement, il est remarqué par un producteur de disques qui lui offre d’enregistrer son premier album. À présent, le mariage devient possible, mais les employeurs d’Anu instillent le doute dans l’esprit de Rahul en lui faisant croire qu’il ne doit son succès qu’à l’aide de son amie. Profondément blessé dans son amour propre, il se brouille avec Anu qui décide alors de poursuivre sa carrière de mannequin à Paris, loin de celui qu’elle aime mais qu’elle ne reconnaît plus.

Raj Solanki (Naseeruddin Shah) règne sur la pègre de Mumbai. Jai découvre que Solanki est son père, mais ne renonce pas pour autant à l'affronter. Solanki accepte alors de se rendre à la police. Mais Deepak et David prennent la mère de Jai en otage. Jai, Sandhya et Solanki parviennent à la libérer, mais Solanki, après avoir révélé à Deepak sa relation de parenté avec Jai, meurt en sauvant ses deux fils désormais réconciliés.

Face à l'impuissance de la police à s'emparer de Jagat Jogia, un gangster qui organise des attentats terroristes, l'inspecteur Jay Suryavanshi se résout à recruter un tueur endurci, Jeet Balraj. Alcoholic movie director, Rahul (Rahul Roy) ends up in a Rehabilitation Centre. Once there, he finds out that there is an inmate, Pooja (Pooja Bhatt), who is schizophrenic and has deep ranging mental problems. After an initial clash of personalities, the two become fast friends, and find that they are in love with each other. But Pooja's paranoia and instability makes any relationship impossible, and as a result she is hospitalized in a mental institution. Shortly thereafter there is a fire at the institution, and Pooja is killed in it. Rahul is devastated by Pooja's death, and is unable to take her off of his mind. One of his movie actresses, Seema (Pooja Bedi), and his brother Rohit, attempt to divert his mind, without much success. Then Rahul starts getting phone calls from a girl whose voice resembles Pooja's. Near the end it is found out that Pooja is alive, and she was the one who had burned down the mental institution because "she didn't like it there". Rahul and Pooja run away from the cops and Pooja's dad who wants her back in mental hospital is trying to trace her. They roam the jungle and change places but they are caught by the police in a town and at the climax Pooja snatches a gun from a police officer and shoots herself saying she doesn't want to go back to the mental hospital, she wants to be with Rahul. Her grandfather and Rahul helplessly watch her die.
